You feel like you are not just a client in this hotel, but a welcome guest! They will help you organize your vacation: a hot air balloon flight, excursions (both group and private), quad bike rides, and they will also pick you up / take you from the airport. There are also wonderful breakfasts, very varied. Live music in the evenings, very high-quality cocktails, delicious hookah. The hotel is located on the top, from where a beautiful view of the balloons opens, a 5-minute walk from the observation deck. I will note about the rooms - very clean, spacious, there are all the bathroom accessories, a bathrobe, slippers. Also in the refrigerator there is a free bottle of wine, drinks, water. In the room there is a coffee machine with capsules. I do not know what can be done even better than this hotel was able to do for its clients. Artemis is the best hotel !!! GOREME is a great little place , with loads to do . We did plenty of walking , but the highlight is definitely the balloon ride , an experience of a lifetime . The only thing i didn’t like about GOREME , is the prices of food and drink , it’s ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of Turkiye , even Istanbul is a fraction of the cost . Be careful also when booking the air balloon trip , the initial price will be inflated, also book it nearer the time , as we were lucky . We booked it Saturday for the Sunday , the following 3 days flights were cancelled. Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. Hisarönü Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - fantastic food, lovely Cappadocian wine and shisha. We even got given a free slice of cake as it was the owners birthday. It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. Beautiful and quiet place. Less busy and less expensive than Georme. Locations near Uçhisar castle is very lively but rule is same. closer your stay to main hub costly and busier it gets.
