The hotel is located on the top, from where a beautiful view of the balloons opens, a 5-minute walk from the observation deck. I will note about the rooms - very clean, spacious, there are all the bathroom accessories, a bathrobe, slippers. Also in the refrigerator there is a free bottle of wine, drinks, water. In the room there is a coffee machine with capsules. I do not know what can be done even better than this hotel was able to do for its clients. Artemis is the best hotel !!! Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. I was surprised by how overly "tourist-y" Goreme was. The restaurants didn't offer traditional Turkish food, everything was very overpriced, the whole town came across as flashy and overdone to me. Beautiful and quiet place. Less busy and less expensive than Georme. Locations near Uçhisar castle is very lively but rule is same. closer your stay to main hub costly and busier it gets.
