Istanbul is a beautiful city with so much to see. However, it has become very expensive to visit tourist sites and have meals out. I found things in Istanbul prices than in New Zealand. The tourist sites have tripled since my last trip so I didn’t go to those this time. Also beware of the the taxi drivers as we got scammed twice then stopped taking taxis. The metro is a good way to get around Istanbul. However, if you want to travel out of Istanbul it’s better to arrange private transport rather than taking a coach as they stop at lots of expensive shops and waste your time.Guest review byFaridaNew Zealand - 2.0

Nothing about this stay was good. The staff were unsupportive, unhelpful, and could not communicate in English, making even the simplest requests frustrating. There was no effort to assist guests or provide a pleasant experience. Tuzla is a wonderful area on the edge of Istanbul.

Corlu is fine but not a tourist place. I was visiting friends. You are asking all these things but give no possibility of actually talking to you to get the problems we had sorted. It is a beatiful island with great arhitecture and vibe, perfect for long walks and chill. If you'd like to come here for the beach, it is not the best option. The few beaches available are expensive and they have no sand. The water is also very cold, but at least it is clean. The accomodation on the island tends to be a bit pricy and not very confortable. The local food is very good and people very friendly and helpful. Locals don't speak english very well, hotel personell includes, so you need to make sure you have internet connection so you can better communicate with people.Guest review bySabinaRomania
