- From US$41.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.9Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 212 reviewsGazientep is full of good people who are always willing to help. I am humbled to experience such humanity amongst the turks. They put my British ego to a child like state. Muslims who are true to their faith in their hearts although they are a strong and tough people though you can see their softer side come out when you greet with sallam aleikum. Always reminded of Allah ta'ala wherever you go you will hear Allah razı Olsun or God bless you often. This does not happen in the UK where hostility has become the norm. The Muslims always display the pinnacle of human kindness. Even if you come with preconceptions and judgements about them, I guarantee you will change your mind after a few days and realise people are people wherever you go. Many of them speak English. They helped arrange day trip to Halfeti and Zeugma Antik Kent with really good minibus and driver. Easy to find the hotel with taxi. Very nice breakfast. Also warm Turkish dishes. They even opened the breakfast buffet earlier for us when we had to leave early for the airport. Nice hamam, big and warm swimming pool, yacuzzi and saunas. All free of charge. Easy to communicate with via booking.com app. Always quick answers in English.Guest review byFredrikSweden
- From US$158.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 597 reviewsThe staff is very friendly and well-connected in the city. They always help out eagerly when there is a request, e.g. for a taxi, rental car or tour guides. The breakfast is excellent and the building is stunningly beautiful! Because it is built from thick stones, it also doesn't get very hot inside, so it was possible for me to sleep without A/C, which I appreciate. Location of the hotel is also very good - super close to the cozy old town and most of the sights.Guest review byBenediktAustria

What I like about him is that he's available most of the time. Thank you, Burak. The room and the hotel itself were clean. I couldn't get much time in the hotel to try the facilities. Breakfast was very nice with a wide range of choices and everyone is trying to help especially Mr Baran. My family enjoyed it very muchGuest review byMajood3166Saudi Arabia
- From US$493.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 19 reviewsThis is a beautifully re-stored historic mansion in a great location, very quiet and walking distance to everything. Everyone who works there is very kind and helpful. Mahmut will arrange a driver for you to visit the few things not within walking distance. The ruins of Dara are beautiful and shouldn’t be missed. I would definitely stay here again. A great boutique hotel.Guest review bySusanMexico

Special thanks to a staff lady, who was so polite, smiling and made us feel so welcome |Jenet was her name if I am not wrong| - big hug to her one more time :) . Wi-fi was slow but it is not a big deal. Parking was lil bit a problem, but they helped us to fix it. Thanks for hospitality.Guest review byDanielaBulgaria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 19 reviewsNot my first stay at Jaleriz, it is very well located and at the same time, not noisy for a big city. My room was at the 4th floor, with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Good wi-fi, great breakfast, big bed. Last but not least, all the staff members are professional, friendly and polite.Guest review byDavidMontenegro

Modern city.
Modern city. A bit chaotic but nice energy and friendly people. The bazaar area is huge. The sad part is that there is not a lot of historic buildings or areas. There is some - but not really a lot, which makes it doubtful to stay more than just a couple of days. If you are not really interested in the cuisine of course. Do NOT miss the mosaic museum. That one is unique and you will never see this qualityand quantity of antique mosaics anywhere else.Guest review byAndreas - 10.0

Mardin is a great city with a rich history and full of amazing buildings in the traditional architecture. you can spend an hours to wondering in the labyrinth of small streets. have a coffee, lunch on the terrace overlooking the Mesopotamia plain, tasting wine.Guest review byedita - 8.0
The Museum of Archeology and the Museum of Ancient mosaics...
The Museum of Archeology and the Museum of Ancient mosaics are very interesting. Places associated with the Prophet Abraham. Several sites left over from the Roman period: the aqueduct of Justininan and the Roman Necropolis. You can visit the ancient city of Göbeklitepe, very convenient logistics (bus line 0 departs from the bus stop near the archaeological museum).Guest review byAnatoliiRussia - 10.0

An interesing and historical city. People are very kind and helpful. Make sure you visit the Armanian church and the archaeological museum and others in the area. And of course don't miss a visit to the Tigris River.Guest review byMarthaColombia - 10.0
I loved everything about Midyat!
I loved everything about Midyat! The buildings and the history are beautiful and the people could not have been nicer. The hospitality was amazing! Every single person we came across was super nice and friendly and would help out with anything we needed. We were offered free tea, coffee, and wine by many people. I am already thinking of going back soon!Guest review byNanette - 10.0
Mount Nemrut is great.
Mount Nemrut is great. We took the advice of our hotel owner and went there for sunrise. The light is beautiful and soft. If you stay at Hotel Euphrat Nemrut you are very close to the best sites including Mount Nemrut. But also close to lots of other sites. And it has a gorgeous mountain feel and view. It felt a very Turkish experience and not over touristy.Guest review byselenaNew Zealand - 8.0

Poor Adiyaman was still suffering from the terrible physical and social consequences of the February 2023 earthquake! But it's a big, modern city and a good base for going to Nemrut Dag and the surrounding area. If you also want to explore Perre Antik Kent in detail, stay at least 2 full days.Still gastronomically complicated for Vegans.Guest review byOsvaldo HumbertoBrazil - 8.0

Gaziantep is the gastronomic capital of Turkiye, and it totally deserves this title. All the places I visited were tasty, and all food was worth the try. The prices are affordable, the locals are helpful, the city is full of history and specific viber. Among the places, I liked Tahmis Kahvesi, which is the most ancient coffeeshop in the region, it has an authentic vibe.Guest review byNargizAzerbaijan - 8.0
The old town is quite charming.
The old town is quite charming. The highlight for us were the ancient churches so beautifully maintained/restored and that Arabs, Kurds and the very small Christian minority live together harmoniously. Everyone seemed so gracious and kind.Guest review byPaulCyprus - 6.0

We stayed in the area after as part of a road trip from Trabzon to Cappadocia to Sanliurfa (for Gobeklieitepei). I would recommend the area if you are going to gobeklei tepe and have a vehicle. English is rather basic. We didn't feel overly welcomed compared to other areas of Turkiye. English is limited.Guest review byJenniferCanada
