The lodge staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Even though we were camping, we were given access to the lodge’s excellent facilities, which were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The location is perfect for gorilla trekking, with the starting point just a short distance away. The lodge’s peaceful surroundings, nestled in the heart of nature, provided a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area before or after an adventurous day. We also appreciated the option to enjoy meals at the lodge – the food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.Guest review byJulikaEstonia

Definitely recommended for gorilla trekking.
Definitely recommended for gorilla trekking. Peaceful, beautiful area with UWA staff offering several options according to your condition: harder trek (rewarded with seldom seen gorilla family) for those who can handle it, easier option for those of us who can't hike far but still want to meet the gorillas. Something for everyone!Guest review byLiisaSpain - 10.0

We visited first the Ruhija sector where we stayed in the Ruhija gorilla lodge which we did not enjoy. The gorillatreck however was an experience we will never forget. After one day we drove to Rushaga where we spend another night and we were lucky we could arrange last minute permits for the gorillatreck in this part of Bwindi. A whole different experience. We are very glade we did this. Here we stayed in the Rushaga gorilla camp which is very lovely. The restaurant is less cosy, food just Ok and the shop far to expensive but the vieuws, location and chalets make it worth staying here.Guest review bySonjaBelgium
