The hotel owner Wilbur and his lovely staff just sweep you off your feet with a level of service not seen in many hotels. The bed was one of the best on our entire trip (fun fact - ask wilbur about how he selects the beds), the food was really tasty and the pool was very clean and well maintained, which is not the case in many other hotels in Uganda. Wifi worked well in the rooms as well as in the pool area. And the best part was, that we actually felt like family, we felt loved and taken care of all the time. Entebbe is a good small city to visit, if you don't want the full Ugandan experience. Having said that, you will be able to easily find whatever you want there but you may miss the real Uganda. Entebbe is a nice and clean town with many tourist attractions to visit. I highly recommend leaving Entebbe to see the many other wonderful things in the Pearl of Africa. This was my 5th visit to Entebbe and I always wish I could stay longer. It is usually a start and end to my journey to Gulu where I spend most of my time. The botanical garden with a guide is great; our favorite part is the vervet monkeys who will play near you and even interact with you if you just sit and watch them. The victoria mall is nice if you are looking for more western shops and the grocery there is great; has everything you need. The craft village across the road from Victoria mall has lots of gifts/souvenirs; the vendors can be a little pushy but not terrible. if you say no thank you they will respect that.Guest review byKristenUnited States
