First visit and everything was what we expected!!!! Had a great mother/daughter getaway! Started a tradition and can't wait to go back next summer!!! We arrived early, our room wasn't ready but the staff took our bags for us and would call when the room was ready. We were able to use all the facilities at the hotel, so we headed for the beach!

Great location close to town, friendly staff, and small yet comfortable and well-appointed rooms. We especially loved cocktails on the front lawn every day - and the food in the restaurant was delicious!

There were plenty of restaurants and shops in town and good...

There were plenty of restaurants and shops in town and good views of the harbor. We ate three of our five meals (two breakfasts and a lunch) at a small take-out called Rebecca's. It turned out that they had some indoor seating, which we took advantage of for breakfast. Getting around Block Island is a dilemma. If you're young enough, bicycles and mopeds seem to work well. Getting a car across on the ferry requires advanced planning, and you might find parking at your hotel difficult. For old folks like us, taxis were a necessity to get beyond the old harbor area.

Definitely you want to visit this island at least once. It has breathtaking views, hikes in the nature unspoiled nature with sight of wildlife. The New England experience at its best! Food also is great especially if you are a sea food lover. Definitely do the Rodman’s hollow on

    I really enjoyed New Shoreham.

I really enjoyed New Shoreham. It is beautiful with so many beaches and hiking and biking trails. I went "off season" so it was very quiet, and some eateries had closed. But I enjoyed the quiet. One of my favorite things is how dog friendly everyplace is.
