- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 103 reviewsDuring our road trip we made a 3 day stop in Moab and stayed at the Sun Outdoors in an Airstream. Check-in was smooth, polite and courteous. The "Airstream" was pretty new and equipped with everything you need. We also had a larger one which had 2 double beds and a bunk bed. Since there were only two of us, we had plenty of space. On the terrace in front with the Adirondack Chairs you can relax perfectly. There is a grill, which could be operated with a wood fire, which we did not use. The location, between Arches NP and Moab, although located on a road, was absolutely quiet and relaxing. If you book accommodation directly in Moab on the main commercial street, the traffic and hustle and bustle can be quite annoying and noisy. There is a pool on site, but it's very small for the complex, as lodges, RV sites, and tent sites are also rented out. There are a total of 8 "Airstreams" with the associated parking space. The "Airstream" was very clean, the shower and toilet work smoothly, and the large fridge with a large freezer and gas stove allow you to live completely self-sufficiently. Since we liked it so much on the first day, we immediately extended another day on site, since the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. "Sun Outdoors, Moab" is an absolute recommendation and we would book it again at any time. LG from Germany!Guest review byAnnikaGermany

Great location for Arches and Canyonlands. Tents are comfortable and heat up well when the fire gets going. We got an upgrade to a tent with our own bathroom that we weren’t expecting. We arrived on the Rocky Mountaineer from Denver, which was fabulous. There is so much to do in the area. We took a one hour sunset flight over Moab, visited the Arches national Park, and did a half day float on the Colorado river. This small valley city is surrounded by red rock mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and sports activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the restaurant, Pasta J.Guest review byWilliamUnited States - 10.0

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique. There’s lots to see if you’re into history and unique scenery. Be sure to have a pickup or SUV with good clearance and awd/4wd for the best experience traveling around there.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 8.0

I came to Utah to visit Moab after arriving in Moab all hotels were sold out so we ended up in Monticello. After getting to the hotel I was kinda leary looked old and kinda run down but to find out someone had just bought the hotel and was in process of refurbishing it. Our room was very nice beds were comfortable and the room was clean no mold. I would definitely stay here again friendly people Beautiful stateGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted.
Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted. Set amid forested mountains and meadows, it's perfect for star gazing and vegging out. In the mornings and evenings, deer and jack rabbits wander right up to the viewing deck. The spacious common rooms let us mingle with other guests or just do our own thing. Amanda and her daughter are attentive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more. We're returning next spring and bringing a friend with us!Guest review byWilsonUnited States - 8.0

There isn't a town center, but it was the perfect spot between Monticello and Blanding. Not much was open in March in Monticello and only one place named Yaks serves breakfast in Blanding. Many more options for other meals in Blanding including a darling ice cream shop. We loved touring the working Cedar Mesa Pottery shop there and finding great deals on their seconds. And there is a hike to 5 Kiva Pueblo ruins some of our group enjoyed.Guest review byCastillo - 10.0
Arches national Park and Canyonlands park.
Arches national Park and Canyonlands park. The arches can be done by yourself with no guide. The visitor center helps. Canyonland should be done with a local tourist guide with a jeep. They drive on unpaved roads inside the canyon which was greatGuest review byIrisIsrael - 10.0

This was a really nice respite after a long day of driving from ID. Green River itself is pretty desolate, but the motel made up for the long journey. I only stayed one night as I was traveling further the next day to Grand Junction, CO. The pool and hottub made it extra relaxing. I did not eat out.Guest review byDiane - 2.0
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding.
I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding. The town offers nothing worthwhile. The motel was overpriced and the only decent restaurant in town was laughable. We fueled up in town before leaving the next morning and twenty miles down the road, gas was almost $.30 a gallon cheaper. I wish we had driven the extra 100 miles to Kayenta, AZ.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 8.0

Monticello is the best base to visit The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. It takes about an hour to get to the visitor center - if you do not make any stops on your way. But the surrounding nature is wonderful, so you probably make lots of stops to take photos. The road into the national park in Indian Creek Canyon is very scenic. Monticello is a small and quiet town. There's nothing to do there except to spend your night. There are two pizza saloons (the medium pizza costs $15), a Mexican restaurant which had a growing line of customers in the evening and a Thai restaurant which is probably the most expensive in town (minimum $20 for a meal, no drinks). Its worth to go and have a look at a Mormon temple on the edge of town - it is beautiful.Guest review byPriitEstonia
