- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 300 reviewsThe hotel is close to lots of eating places and a grocery store so it’s very convenient for food. Just around the corner from the hotel is a little place called Papi’s Ohana which make the best cinnamon buns - if you go early they are hot and fresh out of the oven. We loved the fact that each room had a kitchen and laundry. Some beds were comfortable and others weren’t. We rented four different rooms and each room is apparently owned by different people so that’s the reason for the differences in bed comfort in each place. We all loved the fact that this place felt like it was very welcoming, it had more of a community feel than hotels usually do. The pool wasn’t huge but big enough for us and the hot tub was pretty big. They had putting greens for everyone to enjoy as a well as other games you could play around the property. Overall we really liked this place and would definitely come back again.Guest review byMonaCanada
- From US$346.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 559 reviewsThe room had everything we needed and was very comfortable; the common areas are great and there’s a lot to choose from: two swimming pools, a restaurant (where the food and cocktails were delicious and the prices were reasonable), all kinds of shops inside the resort and outside, nearby and within a walking distance, making the location of the resort great, even though if it’s an hour drive from the airport. The staff was very friendly, especially Vange, who checked us in and informed us we had been given a complimentary room upgrade as well as a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon, who also checked us out, explaining everything about the property to us; Christopher, who booked put amazing helicopter tour for us; and Linda, who booked our Luau to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the manta ray snorkelling, which we both did on the Big Island after we checkout out from this resort.Guest review byAnaPortugal
- From US$383.40 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 163 reviewsComing from Europe we fell in love with Napili beach during our honeymoon many years ago. The Mauian Hotel was the affordable solution for us with kids. We also didn't want one of those huge, anonymous places to stay and were not disappointed. The Mauian is one of the most beautiful resorts we have been to: lots of huge palm and plumeria trees. The vegetation shows that it is not a new resort but one that has been there for many many years. The pool in the middle of the resort is not the newest or biggest but everybody meets there for barbecueing and sozialising. The beach is just perfect! Many guests revisit and know each other - very familiar and family orientated (which also means quite a lot of rules like e.g. pool hours annd quiet time) We absolutely loved everything: the torches, the room, the gardens, the beach, the security guy.....Guest review byTanjaAustria
- From US$317.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 815 reviewsThe beach by the hotel is beautiful and not too crowded, you can even snorkel the reef right by the hotel and we saw 2 turtles. Black rock is only 15 mins walk which was incredible snorkelling. The pool was nice and the resort has everything you could want including the trolley to whalers village for extra dinner options/shopping etc. The hotel also upgraded our room which was very nice. Definitely had a more relaxed less crowded feel compared to other places and good value for money.Guest review byManonAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 355 reviewsExcellent location, in front of a beach park, plenty of parking spots (free). The apartment was fully equipped, including beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and cooking utensils. The apartment was spacious enough with two full bathrooms and a small terrace. We definitely recommend this place where we stayed for a week.Guest review byGustavo RoveloBelgium

The area is beautiful; however, the tragedy of the loss of the Old Town Lahaina casts a pall over the area. If you have memories of before the fire, it is very, very sad to see the remains of buildings and know that over 100 people lost their lives. The sentiment of Lahaina Strong is wonderful and uplifting but as you speak with residents, the current, somber message is that we will never regain what has been lost and there is no definitive plan or timeline for rebuilding. You are asked to not take photos and to respect the area. There is a bypass road that has been built.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States - 10.0

This property is right in between the Marriott and the grand Wailea with beach front access. This property has beach service where they have towels and lounge chairs for the property. The property is absolutely beautiful. I found the pools to be a little too shallow for swimming. This property is located right next to a lot of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely come back.Guest review byAShleyUnited States - 10.0

So MANY things to do on southwest part of Maui. Can go south from Kihei and go snorkeling at several places. Take a trip out to Molokini, go to the top of Volcano and even did the road to Hana. Lots of food choices near and in Kihei and groceries too. Great location, will stay in that area again,Guest review byHagerUnited States - 8.0

The hotel is very nice, it has a central pool overlooking the sea. The rooms are spacious and clean, offering coffee, tea, beach towels, personal care products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion). There is a restaurant right next to it, serving good local dishes, where you get 10% off your bill as hotel guests. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel entrance, for $10/day (+taxes). The staff is very nice and keen to accommodate your requests. We were there on our honeymoon and they set up the room very nicely. The location is very close to the airport, yet is a very curated hotel. Overall a bit expensive, but aligned to the high prices of Maui.Guest review byAlessandraItaly - 8.0

Wailuku, especially staying in Maalaea is so central to all of Maui. It sits almost on the intersection of each of main roads of the island, 10 mins into down town Wailuku, 10 mins to Kihei, 10 mins to the airport, 20 mins to Paia, or Lahaina, or Wailea. Everywhere is close while Wailuku has much to offer by itself. The pub in Maalaea is great for casual dining while taking in a high position view over the marina, the ocean and Haleakala. The Mill (5mins away) has a wonderful restaurant, fantastic menu and very relaxing location. This is a favorite of ours.Guest review byPeterasjAustralia - 10.0

all the beaches around there are really pretty the food is very good. A lot of food all over that location a lot of things to do. I would’ve liked to travel to the different islands. It was hard to book a boat ride too expensive. I wish it was a little bit cheaper to do different events. I think everything is over price that’s what I didn’t like about this island. It’s very hard to plan outings with the big group of people we had 13 and we couldn’t afford to be doing all the different events with the group that big my other family stayed in a different resort but we wanted to stay all together, and it was very expensive to book.Guest review byMelizaUnited States - 8.0
It's a small town.
It's a small town. We stayed one night in Hana so that we could complete the sites along the Road to Hana without pressure of time. Smart move. We got to see and enjoy everything we wanted on the way to Hana, and several places beyond Hana. It would not have been possible without staying a night in Hana. We found Hana to be pleasant community.Guest review byDouglasUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful beach town that provides a very pleasant even if touristy insight to Maui living though not truly local. The dining options are great as well as shops but it's more-so made up of Californians selling art than it is of Maui born & bred locals. Neither a positive nor a negative, Paia is a perfect beach town to switch off in but if you're looking for a true Maui experience it may not be the most adventurous though it is beautiful, friendly, vibrant and can be incredible for beach wildlife spotting.Guest review byDanielUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Haiku was quiet, peaceful, much more local feel; The total opposite feel of Kaanapali, which is much busier and more touristy. [We stayed in both areas during our trip.] Near Haiku there are local thrift shops, weekly markets (Swap Meet), and you are surrounded by nature. The weather was fine too. Not too rainy (as was forewarned on multiple sites).Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Everything handy- restaurants, groceries, coffee place. We liked the beaches nearby and we love Lahaina Front Street which is a short drive. Quiet at night and safe. A bit dark to walk around at night but that is Hawaii.Guest review byKimCanada
