- From US$217.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 982 reviewsAmazing place! I have lived in Singapore and Tokyo at amazing condos and have done luxury traveling a lot in Europe. Even though Pacific Monarch is not a luxury property, I feel that it has the " local neighbourhood " vibe which I absolutely love! Here are the reasons that made it great for me: 1. STAFF: The kindest, friendliest and caring staff who are mostly Filipino, other Asians and Hawaiians. They were so kind with the friendliest of smiles, support and service. I actually started to think of them as a welcome member of my holiday as I would walk everyday past them to say good morning and good night as I go about my day. 2. MY ROOM ( QUEEN, PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW ): Although modest and by far, not anything luxurious, there was a really nice, pleasant vibe about it. It felt like it was an apartment that had a life. I love the balcony. 3. CLEANLINESS : The first maid was not so thorough but after mentioning it to the staff on desk, they made sure that my room was cleaned all the time in the best way. I really valued their attention to detail. The maids were always so happy and kind. 4. LOCATION : Amazing location - lively and yet " quiet ". Lots of restaurants, bars on Kuhio. Lots of shops and beach on Waikiki strip. Hotel is wedged between the two roads / areas...so whichever way you go, you won't be starved for bars, restaurants or things to do. Kuhio beach is right across from the hotel and it's so amazing to see the surfers.Guest review bySarah C.Indonesia
- From US$240.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,941 reviewsWe had an excellent week long stay at Hotel Renew. We had a party of 4, and were in 2 rooms with partial sea view and balconies. For the location right next to Waikiki beach, this hotel is a gem. The staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. They were great at providing us with what we needed for the day such as beach chairs, towels, extra coffee, travel advice and bus schedules. The lobby is well decorated and feels very relaxing as soon as you walk in. The rooms may feel a bit on the small side to some, but you are paying for location. They are clean and modern, with a great shower and bathroom. Lots of places to unpack and hide suitcases away. We got ourselves organized on day one to clear the floor and put clothes away into the warddrobe and it felt great, once tidy, for the rest of the stay. Beautiful views of the sunset dropping over the ocean horizon from the balconies that face north. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we will stay here again for our next visit to Honolulu.Guest review byJamesCanada
- From US$314.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 970 reviewsWe had a truly wonderful experience. The staff, at any hour of the day or night, was always incredibly helpful, kind, and highly professional. Even when we faced a couple of small setbacks, they handled everything perfectly and always helped us find the best solution with patience and a smile. The rooms are simple but very nice, with a relaxed style that perfectly matches the island vibe. After a minor issue, we were given an amazing upgrade: a suite with two bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a view of the pool. Absolutely stunning—we felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. An outstanding hotel that combines warm hospitality, professionalism, and an authentic atmosphere that makes it truly special. Mahalo a hui hou! 🙏Guest review byRobertoMinelliSwitzerland
- From US$1,154.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 775 reviewsStaying at Halekulani was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is elegant, peaceful, and beautifully located right on Waikiki Beach. My room was spotless, with an ocean view that took my breath away every morning. The staff were outstanding — always kind, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Every detail, from the fresh flowers to the evening turndown service, made the stay feel special. The fact that there’s no resort fee is a rare bonus in Waikiki, and it made the experience feel even more generous. The pool, restaurants, and spa were all top-notch. I left feeling relaxed and truly cared for. I’d return without hesitation.Guest review byMiriam PozzoliItaly

Rooms are spacious, clean, very comfortable bathrooms. Amazing view from the hotel window. Proximity to lovely, very green picnic area Magic Island. All in all we had a wonderful stay in Prince Waikik. We much preferred it than hotel in a center Waikiki we moved to later.Guest review byPawełPoland

It is in a beautiful location, the rooms and hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff are all incredible. Slightly further out of Waikiki which we were initially worried about, but there is a free shuttle which runs throughout the day. Direct access to a wonderful beach, and the pool area is also great.Guest review byLukeUnited Kingdom

As an elder who grew up in Honolulu and returning after a decade abroad, I noticed that the culture has been watered down even more than I remember before leaving. Covid was probably the death knell of a previous vibrant economy. So sad. I see homeless who are obvious throwaways from other US states with their weird, crazed body motions (auwe!), a government that bends too much to negative forces but not enough to protect the survival of the local population. I left with a heavy heart, a little traumatized, but with deep love of my birth land and resolve to come back after I find a way to stay.Guest review byRenouv - 8.0

We were visiting my son and daughter-in-law, who live on Wheeler Airforce base. Kapolei is 20-25 minutes from Waihiwa so they could easily come to us for dinner (hotel is next to a mall with lots of restaurant options); we were also close to Honolulu (30 minutes) and the Bishop museum; pearl harbor; Honolulu art museum; and the West beaches like Electric beach. North shore about 35-40 minutes. Kapolei is a central location away from the tourist craziness of Waikiki.Guest review byElsaUnited States - 4.0

The property itself is very run down and old needing a lot of love. The construction that was going on was not an issue. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The ac they speak of is a window unit which no where near reaches past the living room/kitchen and bed. The kitchen was not complete with decent cooking pans. I certainly would not stay here again. The only nice thing about this condo was the beach access.Guest review byCharissa - 10.0

Although I thought the room needed upgrading, the property itself was lovely and the staff was great. I really enjoyed the easy-going feel of the place - just what I needed. It was often cloudy in the morning but sun came out in the afternoon. We rented a car which worked out great but they do charge a 15$ fee for parking each day. Overall I would stay again and would recommend to friends.Guest review byPloof - 10.0
Very laid back and chill. NOT Honolulu!!
Very laid back and chill. NOT Honolulu!! We were actually right near Waimea Bay going to Haleiwa was like going to the big city. Would be happy to visit here again. Beaches superb and not crowded (late April). Lots of activities, most especially swimming with sharks (One Ocean Diving). Some nice walks in the hills, too. Another great nearby option is glider planing (Above and Beyond).Guest review byPaulUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful beach, that was the best part.
Beautiful beach, that was the best part. The prices in Hawaii are ridiculous. Very high. The are grocery stores that you can buy your own food and cook if you have a kitchen. Nice people. My fav was the taco truck that had such good fresh healthy food. I would eat there everyday. He was on Kihapai st and oneawa st , late in the evening. Best recommendation. Its mostly safe, some homeless here and there not much in the residential areas. Few bars from high end, to crossroads to Kailua tavern that has the best karaoke bartender you have ever heard. He sings and makes your drinks. Food is ok, if you are a foodies it's hit and miss.. in the restaurants.. Super fun, you can get amazing surfing cheap lessons with Mike and Andy at 808 Surt School by Kamehameha Hwy opposite of the shrimp shack. Lot of great experiences, so much beautiful sun. Beautiful place. We'll be back.Guest review byizabelaCanada - 6.0

This can be a good place to stay you may have to over look some of the issues this location has. THIS IS NOT A JW MARRIOTT don't expect it. Even pricey hotels aren't perfect. The beach is close and turtles do land on it in the evenings. The water is very shallow all the way out to the reef - probably good for beginners. This location is close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and is about the middle of all North Shore points of interest. We did not stay in the room much because we were away seeing the rest of the island during the day.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 10.0
