Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very complete and delicious! The room was spacious, clean, beds were super comfortable. Location is great, right in Pearl District and really well connected to public transport system. Gym was functional and had the minimum necessary equipment. As in downtown Portland, you may see homeless people around, which can be a shock for someone new to the city, but didnt feel insecure at all in the hotel.

The property is beautifully landscaped and the buildings are set apart from each other so there’s a sense of spaciousness with gorgeous, lush common areas. I LOVED the very low exterior lighting. Just enough to see where the garden borders are but not so much that the stars were blocked out. I loved that there were pet waste stations all over the place; it really gave a vibe that my dog was welcome there. The “partial river view” from my room was only “partial” because the river is half hidden by a terraced garden, which was not a problem for me at all; not like if it was blocked by another building. The view was beautiful! Incredible value for money!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ocean House hotel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its breathtaking location – this hotel is indeed very close to the ocean, and the proximity to the water is simply unbeatable. One of the highlights of my stay was the everyday changing and tasty breakfast. Each morning, I eagerly looked forward to the delicious surprises that awaited me. It was a delightful way to start my mornings and provided the perfect fuel for my day of exploration. What truly sets the Ocean House apart, though, is the serenity it offers. It's an incredibly quiet place, perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found myself relaxing like never before, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the ocean to accompany me. And let's not forget the view! The ocean view from the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. I spent countless hours gazing out at the horizon, watching the waves roll in and feeling completely mesmerized by the beauty of nature. It's a view that truly enhances the overall experience of staying at the Ocean House. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. In conclusion, I can't recommend the Ocean House hotel enough. It's a hidden gem that offers a unique combination of proximity to the ocean, delicious breakfasts, tranquility, and breathtaking ocean views. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, this is the place to be.

Cannon beach is simply amazing place. Tolonava Inn is great choice if you want affordable room and stay right next to the beach. Rooms are simple but really nice. We loved hotel lobby with comfy couch and fire place. Coffe and tea available all day, helpfull staff. The homeless population is plentiful, but they stick to themselves. We never felt unsafe or bothered by anyone. All the people we met were friendly and very welcoming. The Pearl District is easily walkable with several necessity type places within a few blocks - Safeway groceries, wine and liquor stores, cannabis if that's your vibe. Also a few boutiques shoppes and spas were close by as well. Allora (homemade pasta) was some of the very best Italian our group had ever had!! We took the hour and a half trek across to Cannon Beach to see Haystack Rock and poke a toe in the Pacific (you're so close, how can you not?)! The little beach town didn't disappoint!! I had some of the very best "fresh caught cod " fish and chips I've ever had!! That was at Ecola Seafood Restaurant just off the main drag. Multnomah Falls tour was absolutely a winner - beautiful falls - even in the misty weather!! Some had short hikes to get to them but so worth it if able.

Bend is a growing city that maintains both a social responsibility for residents, but the business retail community has higher prices on goods and products that forces consumers to move their purchases to online. I was interested in purchasing products (home furnishings) and reviewed a well known brand name product that was well over the normal retail price both online and at other retail firms outside the Bend market.

We were surprised how few Seafood places there were on the coast. Mo's was a highlight. We visited Mo's twice and both times the food was great! Most of the restaurants were Mexican or Chinese. Many of the fast-food places were old or dirty. Really enjoyed watching the glass blowers and visiting Connie Hanson Flower Garden!

Great walkable college town. The Shakespear Festival and sell out, so if you know you're going, get tickets ahead of time! There is some classical music, symphony and chamber that may be happening on any weekend. Esp. chamber music. Go for a walk in the city park downtown. There are also other hiking and outdoors stuff in the surrounding area. Downtown is great. Good bookstore. Movie theater has some indie films.

Astoria is a unique town in a unique location.

Astoria is a unique town in a unique location. I love the architecture of many of the homes in Astoria and the way they are arrayed along hilly streets. The town is fairly compact so attractions are never a long drive away. Ships coming in from the sea to go up the Columbia river or returning to the sea lend interest as you drive or walk around the city. Astoria remains one of my favorite cities in the Pacific Northwest!
