It has been many years since I visited Wilkes-Barre... maybe 30... Though it was not the destination, my wife and I found a lovely Thai Thai restaurant. Mt Airy Casino Hotel was nice, clean, friendly staff. Room was nice, 6th floor overlooking golf course. Rooms do not have refrigerators (unless you pay for one). The 2 restaurants we ate in were good, Guy Fieri's, Bisteca (excellent). We stayed for 2 days with a group to celebrate a 65th birthday. Guys got rained out of golf so we went to a winery in Stroudsberg one day. I would recommend this hotel for stay of 1 to 2 days.Guest review byEileenUnited States - 8.0

Convenient and safe. Room was clean but highly deodorized to the point we had to leave the door and window open for a couple hours and it was still strong. The bed was VERY firm and pillows were like couch cushions, we couldn't use them. I had to ask the gentleman at the front desk multiple times for a cup for tea, he kept saying 'no coffee till morning. He was not very friendly. Room was perfectly heated, comfortable, and great for working. Internet was flawless. Breakfast choice was scant. The hotel needs to upgrade the breakfast choices and provide fruit that's not overripe if they really want my repeat business. Breakfast needs to demonstrate the hotel really cares about the hospitality of their guests.
