Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown).
Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown). Great vendors in market, green bay restaurant and 578 had hot meals with 4/5 taste for me. Safari bus ($2) good easy to get around if you want to see city and go to some local places, pick up a map in the tourist welcome center downtown. Better yet ask a local. Everyone I met was friendly and willing to answer questions/give directions. Take the safari bus to Red hook, catch the ferry ($9.15 with tax) and see St john island. State park there with beautiful beach, local raci needed to access it though.Guest review byColeenUnited States - 4.0
Location is not good during seaweed months.
Location is not good during seaweed months. Beach on property is unusable. Coki Beach was not as described in reviews. Resort was fine. Loved the upper pool, view was fabulous. A few nights is more than enough. Taxi rides get expensive if you go off property to eat.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 4.0
I was in Christiansted, St.
I was in Christiansted, St. Croix on business, and I would not recommend visiting the island for leisure. While it’s a beautiful Caribbean island, it has clearly been terribly mismanaged for many years. This is evident in the poor infrastructure, run-down streets, and the overwhelming amount of junk cars and trash along the roads. There is also a noticeable lack of restaurants and stores, which limits dining and shopping options. Overall, the state of the island was disappointing.Guest review byBrandonUnited States - 10.0
Mim's Cafe and Pesce Italian Restaurant were fantastic.
Mim's Cafe and Pesce Italian Restaurant were fantastic. Great food and extremely friendly staff. Magen Bay Beach and Lindquist beach were absolutely beautiful. Trunk Bay Beach in St. John is gorgeous. I love the USVI!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance.
Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance. You really don't even hear the planes takeoff. The hotel is older so don't expect the grays and golds that are in right now. More grandma's house style. The staff is great. The pool is small but has a great view. The bar area also has a restaurant. The price is affordable and you could not even have to leave.Guest review byTheresaUnited States - 4.0

The hotel was close to the cruise port.
The hotel was close to the cruise port. It was a bueatiful backdrop. I was there for a short period, I just wanted to go somewhere different and I accomplished my goal. I was there by myself and felt safe. I caught several taxis, when to call a taxis, your taxis has people going other people going in the direction you are, and it’s per person. They’re not a lot of places to park. The streets are very busy.Guest review byCalvinaUnited States - 2.0

The beach is a short patch of dirty sand loaded with seaweed. must use shuttle service to get around premises. . no shops or entertainment on property. Nothing in walking distance... plan on taxi service to come and go off property... bring plenty of cash. Food is below average.Guest review byVince AbateUnited States - 10.0

Loved the countryside, restaurants, people were friendly and helpful, shopping very enjoyable, downtown night life very enjoyable, visited several beaches and all were beautiful, loved the ocean, and did not have a bad meal at any restaurant. I especially liked the hospitality shown to me at various sites throughout the island. Historically interesting also ...Guest review bySedoniaUnited States - 10.0
We were on St Thomas for 3.5 days after having left Tortola.
We were on St Thomas for 3.5 days after having left Tortola. I could have stayed on St Thomas for maybe another day or so, especially if we would have gone to St John. We went in off season - (mid July to early nov). Most everything on the island that is not associated with a hotel shuts down about 8 to 9pm. The shops will shut down at 5pm if there is not a cruise ship there, sometimes they wont open at all. The shopping area near the cruise port is worth checking out but shouldn't be considered an all day thing. Maybe a couple hours. The tram to paradise point is also really only open when the cruise ship is in the harbor. How do you know if there will be a cruise ship: vinow.com We mainly ate at the restaurants at our hotel: Westin and Bouy Haus. St Thomas is easy to navigate if your renting a car. They drive on the left and the driving is a bit of a free for all, you will have to go slow. Its not as mountainous as Tortola, thank God. Go to the Mountain Top Souvenir shop, Drakes seat look out, Magens Beach (dont expect to see anything here for snorkeling)Guest review byRACHELUnited States
