- From US$2,271.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 10.0Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 35 reviewsSimply great. Great location in many senses - the reserve itself (only 1 hour from the airport PLZ), the location of the manor in the reserve and of course the reserve as a biodiverse paradise. Food - great - suprisingly great we have to say. The Manor is spacious, our room was much larger than expected. It had a terrace facing the open reserve where you could see animals from a distance after a shower or having a coffee. The buildings have a modern country style touch, are very welcoming, open and invite to relax. There is "the usual" 5-star stuff to do, if you are not on a game drive (pool, spa, gym, etc). Which is great if you have a partner or you are in a group with people that are not into game drives as much - they will have a proper 5-star hotel experience and be able to relax anyway. - This is a main difference to camps with tents and less luxurious equipment. Staff is very friendly - nice concept of the ranger having breakfast with you afterwards so you can reflect upon what you have seen. Children - there is another camp in the reserve that is especially family friendly - I forgot the name - ask the reserve, they will tell you.Guest review byClemensUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$506.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 584 reviewsWe stayed in 3 of the four tents which were beautifully furnished with everything one could need. The views and the gardens and the giant Figtree are spectacular. The rooms are hot during the day because the doors much be kept closed if you’re not in your tent due to the naughty monkeys and baboons! The food and service were outstanding. Cia, our guide for our safari into Addo Elephant Park was fantastic, fun and incredibly knowledgeable - worth the price for sure. Breakfast is included in the price - all other meals not but reasonable. The pool is spotlessly clean and chilly - a nice cool off after a game drive. Definitely want to come back with my family one day.Guest review bymargaretUnited States
- From US$130.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 189 reviewsThis is an authentic Rustic bush camp : the tents were spacious and very clean. Comfy beds. Owners and staff very interactive with all of the guests and very welcoming. Their host Dimitri was such a pleasure to deal with and really went out of his way to be of assistance. Game drive into Addo Wildlife Park was great : Ranger Brighton was very informative. We spent 2 lovely days at Kudu Ridge.Guest review byGuestAustralia
- From US$1,282.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsThe whole experience exceeded our expectations. The food is superb and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They went through the trouble of making a separate meal for my partner to accommodate his food allergies. They also went to the trouble of setting up a screen and provided us with snacks to watch the rugby. We also got to see 4 of the Big 5 in one evening!Guest review bySunéSouth Africa
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 301 reviewsAbsolute stunning, what a find. It feels like you a nestled in the mountains, the rooms are in the canopy of the trees with beautiful big outside baths. In addition you can walk with Elephants at the lodge which was one of the best experiences of my and my kids lives. Truly magnificent beasts. I would highly recommend staying at the lodge.Guest review bySalt Rock ConsultingSouth Africa

We have been to Addo probably 40 times and just never get enough of it, and once again on rare occassions, saw a lioness up close. As always there were plenty of Buffalo, Elephant, Zebra, Red Hardebeest, Warthog, Kudu, and oh! a Hyena!Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My stay at Adventure Apartment, Colchester was truly wonderful. The space was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and offered a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. Every detail from the serene surroundings to the warm and welcoming ambiance, was thoughtfully arranged. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and a touch of elegance. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting againGuest review byMemory ZodwaSouth Africa - 8.0
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful.
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful. The road was a challenge, but we knew that we had to come with a 4x4 vehicle and the men knew how to drive on a 4x4 route. It was raining when we arrived and it was cold, but everybody should know not to travel without a jacket.Guest review byRiaanNamibia - 10.0

We did an afternoon Giraffe walk through Bellevue Lodge and it was amazing - we were taken on a safari vehicle onto a game reserve and from there had to find the grazing giraffe. Once we spotted them, we drove close by and then got out of the vehicle to walk close (but not too close) to the giraffe to watch them eat their dinner. It was a lovely experience, and our guide Stephen was knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions. We stayed at the Bellevue Lodge for 1 night, it was a lovely small property with friendly staff.Guest review bySusanSwitzerland - 10.0
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly.
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly. We had an amazing time, very relaxing, kids loved the pool and all the lego. Game drive was an absolute favorite with drinks at a lovely view point. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to relax and rewind!Guest review byNienkeSouth Africa - 8.0
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate.
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate. I could easily do two days in the Addo and it's full of surprises. Make sure to go to the bathroom at the beginning, because toiletbreaks are far inbetween. Make sure your devices are fully charged and you have backup, because you'll be taking a lot of pics. Currently the roadworks to Addo makes it a longer drive, but all goo.Guest review byLydiaSouth Africa - 10.0

We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Addo. We arrived in the late afternoon and then took a full day game drive from the lodge. It was a bit much for us and would do a morning game drive next time. The experience was awesome, it was just too long for our pensioner bodies! Staying 2 nights was perfect because the evening gave us a nice recovery period before we hit the road for our return to Cape Town. Dungbeetle River Lodge was a perfect location from which to travel into Addo. It's literally 3 minutes from the south gate of the park.Guest review byCharlesSouth Africa - 10.0
Everything was quite on point.
Everything was quite on point. From the receptionist service to the restaurant food and the tour around the park and service from the tour guide. Enjoyable, you will enjoy this if you love nature but probably go for the morning tour, there may be lions then.Guest review byDingiswayo - 4.0

Not a quaint little tourist town, and somewhat disappointed with our stay (for choice of shops, restaurants and ease of access to the river, lack of info for St Croix marine reserve). The Sand dunes are spectacular, but also not easy to access as on private property. The day visit permit is affordable (via Pearson resort) yet this information is not easily available to visitors. Close proximity to Addo South Gate which is great. Some marketing PR would go a long way!Guest review byCherylSouth Africa
