The Houtbay harbour is definetly something for any traveller to experience. World of birds was a great outing our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish market had the freshest fish too with great variety.Guest review byClintonSouth Africa - 8.0
Beautiful location - great beach for walks and sun bathing.
Beautiful location - great beach for walks and sun bathing. There is a security issue with walking on the beach beyond a certain point ( specified at the entrance to the breach) - but if you’re aware, don’t carry valuables and stay within the ‘’safe” areas it is a beautiful beach. Lots of restaurants and small shops around.Guest review byMartinaSouth Africa - 2.0
This place is just the worst.
This place is just the worst. Pics on the site is deceiving.... Not what I expected....i want my money back... I did not stay at this place... I don't know if this people expected animals would come and stay for the weekend.... If I stay away for a weekend, I expect it to home away from home... I was just not happy.... Broken tiles, broken door handles, dirty shower, cockroaches running on the table.... I'm so so disappointed in this place... Hideaway will never see me ever.Guest review byStevenSouth Africa - 10.0

The hotel is close to the Main road with an easy walk to the shops, coffee shops and restaurants in Seapoint, to the Cape Quarter,to the Cape Town Stadium as well as the botanical gardens and the Seapoint Promenade. There are may "hidden" restaurants in Greenpoint which offer excellent food at reasonable prices. The area is very clean and has the charm of narrow streets and many guest houses, B&Bs and hotels with many foreign visitors.Guest review byStephen HorwitzSouth Africa - 6.0
Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant.
Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant. It had great fresh fish and we could walk there on the beach. The least favorite was the haggling and begging at the docks before and after the seal boat ride. This town was our first stop in South Africa and it really represented the divide between wealth and poor. I think to get around you will have to have a rental car. definitly drive part way up the cliff drive, the sceanery and plant life was very interesting.Guest review byJuliaUnited States - 10.0

There is a lot more to do in Noordhoek than what one expects. Noordhoek has live entertainment, lovely shops, the most beautiful beach, water sports, horse-riding and scenic travel routes. Worth a visit!Guest review byLouiseSouth Africa - 8.0
Fake pictures and place in very poor condition.
Fake pictures and place in very poor condition. No Covid 19 protocols and blatant disregard for regulations. Poor parking. Should have a shuttle for elderly. This neighborhood takes law in own hands and use parking shortage to keep their beach off limits.Guest review byMogamadSouth Africa - 8.0
We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights.
We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights. It's a small fishermen town, very sleepy/peaceful. Yet, there are enough restaurants and bars to find your taste. We were two girls travelling alone, but we felt very safe there. You can easily do some hikes from there, take a walk at Hout Bay Beach, visit Cape Good Hope or Chapmans Peak. Other than that, there is not very much to do. So pick Hout Bay if you want a safe and peaceful stay near Cape Town!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We are a family of 4 locals from Cape Town but a visit to Noordhoek always feels like a real holiday. We spent a weekend at Monkey Valley. On way through we stopped off at Hout Bay market for a browse and lunch and then took the beautiful drive over Chappies to Noordhoek. Spent the evening at Cafe Roux and had dinner and a show. Next day did lunch at Cape Point Vineyards O(CPV) literally 5 minutes away. Great views of Noordhoek Beach from the Vineyard - Very good chard to accompany a good meal. Beers also available and kids had milk shakes so everyone is catererd for. Noordhoek beach is also great - Long sandy beach and often there are beautiful horses being ridden. Noordhoek farm village and CPV a must when visiting.Guest review byBrendanSouth Africa
