We enjoyed more than expected our stay, mainly due to the wonderfull owner and staff at the hotel. Everything was perfect especially for this price range. The room was clean and big enough, bathroom as well with great shower. The hotel offer a secure parking. They even offered us a coffee on our departure date. Friendly staff, you can enjoy a little drink before going to bed at the bar or play pool in a dedicated room. Thank you!

Great hostess, the fact that there was a gas stove countering load shedding showed forward thinking and caring for the guests needs. Excellent location. A real 'time out' experience.

De Hoop is one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited. The nature is absolutely breathtaking, endless landscapes, incredible wildlife, and the most pristine white dunes that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. You can hop on a bike and explore the reserve, spotting zebras, ostriches, and antelopes roaming freely around you. The staff is exceptional, warm, and welcoming, and the decor is making you feel like you are in another time, far away from the rush of modern life. It’s a place where nature, tranquility, and pure beauty come together perfectly. A must-visit!

The supersized cottage accommodated the family and allowed for privacy. Mary, the host is pleasant and accommodating. Access to the beach, the caves and nature reserve allowed one to fully appreciate the beauty of Arniston.

Agulhas is a quiet beautiful little town with wonderful places to eat and visit. The people of Agulhas are friendly and the sea view is lovely, lots of walking paths and an animal friendly environment. The southernmost point of Africa where the two oceans meet and it is part of the National Parks Council. You'll discover fascinating ecological habitats, shipwrecks, national monuments and signs of ancient settlements in this nature conservation area.

Struisbaai is a wonderful place to stay, it is small and has all the facilities one could need, restaurants, shopping, chemist etc. I loved the harbour, and being a photographer this is a wonderful place to stay. It also has beautiful beaches and lots of places to walk, I felt safe at all times.

Breakfast buffet and beaches were lovely.

Breakfast buffet and beaches were lovely. The arniston cave is a beauty and must see. It is a bit scary going to the cave. We did not have time to walk around in the neighbourhood but the place seemed quiet and safe. We visited Cape Agulhas and there were more restaurants nad food options. Arniston does not have a variety of lunch and supper options for our pallet. The spa at Arniston is also great. The lamb shank is delicious at Arniston. I would have like a bigger variety with the pizza options. I would advise people to visit the beaches, go to the smaller towns in the area to get to know the peolple better.

A lovely little town which we visit every year to take part in the Voet of Afrika race. It could really do with some nice restaurants though... On a Saturday night only 1 restaurant open (former Flames grill) and was empty!

The Lighthouse museum is a must to visit, as is the Africa map at the southernmost tip - hopefully they will cover it in brass as it's degrading. A sunset walk was beautiful in the evening, and the tidal pools warm for swimming.

The shops is very close to our destination, lots of places to eat, we had break fast at the Old cape restaurant on the Main road, The air is very clean and healthy to breath in, and its very easy to get around Struisbaai, up to Cape Agulhas points, via the main road.

A charming little village with friendly people.

A charming little village with friendly people. Lovely to walk around and explore, with stunning views around every corner... Our spa experience was very good, so much so that we went back for a second treatment. Bredasdorp was an eye opener - if you enjoy history you must visit the Shipwreck Museum and Bredasdorp Square has a lovely restaurant and courtyard with delicious food on offer, plus a gift shop you could get lost in (not to mention bankrupt yourself)! The drive to De Mond nature reserve was well worth it (the dirt road is in good condition) and it is wild and remote with few people to be seen. It's also worth visiting Cape Agulhas to see the lighthouse and walk on the boardwalk. The nearby Struisbaai beaches are gorgeous.

This was my 1st visit to Bredasdorp and because I was nervous about travelling with my dog, I didn't spend much time in the town itself. Of what I did see, I was impressed as it's well developed with all amenities.
