Apartment was on 1st floor creating privacy and great views of the beach and bay from a large terrace. The building was extended by the owner who has her own holiday apartment on the ground floor, the photos in listing are pre-extension, so we were pleasantly surprised that it was bigger than the photos show. The owner was lovely, not intrusive at all but on hand if we had any questions. The property was very light and airy, the bedrooms were larger than we expected with 2 ensuite and 1 family bathroom next to the twin bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely like to return to this fabulous apartment. Paternoster is a beautiful village with an outstanding beach. There are a wide choice of places to stay and some excellent restaurants in the area. We ate at Gaitjies and at the Voorstand restaurants. Gaitijies is excellent..creative cuisine , and Voorstrand serves delicious simpler food, but well worth a visit. Saldanha is a quiet fishing and mining town with lots of interesting places to see. The local fish monger has the best fish and chips. The Weskus Mall is close by with good shops to visit. Brilliant sea-view; literally just a street width from beach. Not for swimming though; swimming beach ca 1km away. But one does not come for swimming! When the wind comes from the north, the smell of sea-birds somewhat overwhelming. But that's part of the deal. A beautiful little fisherman's haven,tourist attraction,near all amenities and for bigger shopping,the Westcoast mall. Best fish n chips ever,freshly baked at Laaiplek harbor. And value for money. The Klawer hotel is something to visit. We had a very interesting meal there. The house is stunning and well laid out.
The house is stunning and well laid out. Braai room is wonderful for family games or just sitting around chatting. Beautiful views of the sea and the green belt allows for wonderful walks. Lena who opened for us was great and available for any questions we had.
