- From US$136.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,133 reviewsWe recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Premier Resort Sani Pass, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning scenery that surrounded us. Nestled in the heart of nature, the resort offers breathtaking views that made our stay even more special. The accommodations were impeccable, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and had a lovely balcony where we could enjoy our morning coffee while soaking in the picturesque landscape. One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the beautiful grounds of the resort. The well-maintained gardens, walking trails, and nearby attractions provided us with plenty of opportunities to connect with nature and unwind. We also indulged in some delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, where the friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality of the staff. They were always eager to assist us and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Their genuine smiles and helpful nature added to the overall positive atmosphere of the resort. We left Premier Resort Sani Pass feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the beautiful memories we created during our short getaway. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. We can't wait to return for another relaxing escape!Guest review byDanielaGermany

Electricity cut of many times during our stay due to the switch tripping. Drain clogged in shower. Carpets not vacuumed but only swept with a broom, which was evident in our continuous sneezing upon entering the room. Geyser switch tripped on checkout day and therefore we could not shower in our room. Rooms need to be better maintained and cleaned.Guest review byDevadasaSouth Africa - 8.0

Kokstad has become a little run down since I was there in the early 1990''s but there seems to be a concerted effort in reviving the local industry. I was a little sceptical in finding car parking on the main streets but the new mall areas had lots of parking avaliable that seemed safer. There were also car guards avalaible - many of whom begged for food in addtion to a monetary tip. The surrounding area of Kokstad is still as beautful and scenic as I remember and typical of a South African mountain town.Guest review byDavidSouth Africa - 8.0

There are several resorts and a number of smaller accommodations in this picturesque valley, a hotspot for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. It is close to the famous Sani Pass, where 4X4 enthusiasts can ascend one of the highest and most scenic trails in Southern Africa. The town has charming shops and eateries, and many of the resorts offer a host of activities, restaurants and outdoor adventure options.Guest review byT_M_S_MSouth Africa - 10.0

The area and the farm are breath taking. with the Drakensberg mountains just a short drive away. But you do not need to drive if you are looking for just peace and tranquillity its all around you. Underberg has some fine dining places if you wish to eat out.Guest review byFreddieFox - 10.0

What I loved the most was the beautiful scenery and that it was so peaceful and quiet. This place is truely for anyone whether it be with your whole family or just you. It's pet friendly and there's a lot to do for the out door person. There isn't really anything that I didn't like except for the low wifi/signal reception.Guest review byNikita - 10.0

Unpretentious town with several excellent restaurants (the Whistling Goat had the best food and the best prices)...with a Spar supermarket just down the road in nearby Underberg (15 miles/27 km.) For BIRDING and BIRDERS: exceptionally good for rare species (Flufftails - contact Stuart McLean [has a web site] for best bird guiding especially if you have your own vehicle. Many different habitats in the area...and the birds up at Sani Pass - many Drakensberg specialties. Having been north to bird at Wakkerstrom and the giant marshes in town and that area, we can say that Himeville is just as good (with many overlap species...and many only found at Sani Pass). Himeville has better restaurants and is 20-30% less expensive than Wakkerstrom. We had a wonderful time here.Guest review byrdcnyUnited States - 10.0

We had such a lovely time, from the accommodation, the staff, the food and surroundings were great. The only problem we had was that our shower was leaking in the bathroom, and the whole bathroom was under water. but the staff moved us to another room, the shower did not leak, but all the tiles was loose in this bathroom as well. Just think the bathrooms needs some maintenanceGuest review byRenetteSouth Africa - 6.0

The location is perfect, but the water issue is such a turn off. We were told that the same thing happened in December 2021 and people ended up leaving before their departure date, demanding their money back. Such an establishment cannot compromise on the water and ablution system. Plan B should be there for such unfortunate incidents.Guest review byMs ThuloSouth Africa - 8.0
Potholes are ridiculous getting to underberg.
Potholes are ridiculous getting to underberg. So many & close to each other. Definitely cause damage to your car tires / rims. Once to get to underberg, spar and other stores are convenient. Being close to the berg is beautifulGuest review byDewlal
