AustriaThe place was very beautiful - exacly like in the stunning pictures. Christine was such a nice host and we felt welcomed at every single minute of our stay. We had a very nice chat with her at breakfast!
By the way - we really cannot understand why people found the breakfast anything other than perfect - there was fresh fruit, different jams and cereal, cheeses, salami, ham and freshly made eggs to our liking. Thank you very much Christine for the very warm welcome - we wish you all the best for you and your lovely family.

Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, nothing is a far drive. There can be some traffic on week days though, but if you leave earlier in the morning it's fine. Quiet place, easy to drive around or get an uber. Friendly people. Amazing sites to see. Shopping malls & restaurants in all directions. Spur is located by the beach which makes it even more beautiful to look out at the beach. The city is well laid out and it's easy to find your way. There are some hidden gems which could be better popularised. All the amenities one would need are to be found in Somerset West and it is within easy reach of Cape Town. Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay.
Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay. It is a quaint fishing town but offers so much. The beaches and the Harbour, where there is always something happening. Cycling from Gordons bay to Betty's Bay is a must. Beautiful coast line to walk around. Wonderful restaurants where you will always find the local people enjoying themselves and want to include the visitors. Many wine farms only a stones throw away. All in all Gordons Bay offered us as a family a wonderful couple of day to exercise, braai, walk and have memorable time together. I enjoyed getting to know Gordon’s Bay and the second hand book shop, which understandably draws visitors from miles around.
