Super clean and beautifull rooms with a nice view of the garden. The view from the outdoor swimming pool is amazing but unfortunetely it was too cold to swim outside. They do have an indoor heated swimming pool as well so that is very nice. The african aromatic massage was really relaxing and good. The breakfast was very good as well as lunch and dinner.

Pleasant staff. Well decorated, spacious and easy to use room. Stylish. Brilliant breakfast in an amazing and emotionally warm enviorment. Excellent inhouse restaurant with beer tasting included for nightguests. (Beer is good!). Beatiful garden.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at both Hunters Country Lodge and Tsala Treetop Lodge in Plettenberg Bay. Nestled in beautifully manicured gardens and lush forest canopies, these lodges offer a serene and luxurious escape that exceeded all our expectations.Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of — from the cozy fireplace in the room to the delicious homemade treats delivered each evening. We were surprised with charming little gifts and poetic notes on our pillow every night — a truly personal and heartwarming touch. With three excellent restaurants to choose from, the culinary experience was outstanding. The food was delicious, and the wine list impressive. The decor throughout both properties is tasteful, elegant, and exquisitely curated. But above all, it was the exceptional staff who made our stay truly unforgettable. Warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile — nothing was too much to ask. Their dedication to guest comfort and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression. We will most certainly be back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and soul-soothing getaway.

The location of the property is perfect. It is situated at a place with gives you a picturesque view of the town of Knysna and it's surrounding areas. Easy accessibility. We were greeted very warmly by the courteous staff. The place is amazing. The service is excellent. The breakfast has a good spread and they have really good options (alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic) for drinks. The people running St. James of Knysna are particularly kindhearted and warm. I would definitely live there again if I visit Knysna again.

Wow, what a place. The interior design is fantastic, and it backs onto a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy excellent food and drinks and watch the sun set in peace. Truly a special place and we wished we could have stayed far longer than our one night! There are great little boutique shops around also, and two delicious breakfast options accessible if you pay for breakfast.
