It was a spectacular experience. The room...linen..facilities...staff..surroundings and everything else was world class. So authentic. Terry and his staff were outstanding. A time away to remember and to hopefully return to.

The whole Hotel is like a Paradise! The room was very nice and clean. The dinner served in a wonderful atmosphere was excellent. Also the breakfast was very good. On top the host and his team were outstanding friendly and supportive.

Brand New rooms with Fridge , TV ( DSTV) , Microwave . Super comfy beds and great shower and bathroom . Got a great welcome by the owner and easy access . Safe parking free outside immediately below my room . Overall this was a great find and a very enjoyable stay .

the breakfast was scrumptious, the hostess was so kind and well-organised, the walks to the river and the garden surrounds were so peaceful. The room was so comfortable and the staff were really accommodating. I even took my Small Dog, and the establishment is very pet friendly! I will be going back!

    A central spot on the Midlands Meander.

    A central spot on the Midlands Meander. A lovely country village with various places to eat and drink. In reasonable proximity to all that the meander has to offer, from a stop for a cup of great coffee to spending more time purveying chocolates, art galleries, various second-hand furniture options, clothing stores, nurseries (Herbs and Traditional). We stayed at Rawdons Hotel, a homely, warm, and welcoming establishment with very friendly and capable staff. There were also delightful dining experiences at Rawdon's. We have, in the past, eaten at most of the Midlands meander eateries and found all of them to have exceptional standards of food and service.

    Warm welcoming even though we were very late.. Special exstras not expected...❤️ very quiet, peacefull, tranquil, safe studio. There was no need to remove all luggage from vehicle. Wish I could have stayed a week.

    Keen to visit town where the mayor and his staff have made such a difference. A joy to see evidence of thriving businesses, clean environs - and where things seem to work. The Howick Falls and the Mandela Capture site - not to be missed

    Beautiful part of the country.

    Beautiful part of the country. Short drive to Nottingham Road, Spar, petrol station. It rained while we were there so we didn't get a chance to walk around. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. We missed the TV but there is one in the lounge by reception

    The drive there on a Friday and back to gauteng on a Sunday was peaceful, relaxed and meditative. The farmstalls are great stops even better than fuel stations for tasty biltong and home made food and south african made soaps and lotions. This road trip was so much fun

    The various accommodation options make it perfect for...

    The various accommodation options make it perfect for couples and families. Huge grounds allow you to get away for some peace and quiet if you want, but we did not feel overwhelmed by people and the place was full. You can either go and feed carrots to the horses or take a short drive to one of the many attractions in the area.

    It was an absolutely incredible place with breathtaking scenery. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and at home because of the warmth you shared with us. You truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable – from the fully equipped kitchen to the thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and bug repellents. Yachi, who was so helpful and kind-hearted throughout our stay. It was truly an amazing experience, and we are deeply grateful for the hospitality and kindness you showed us.

    The room was clean pool was green and dirty breakfast was good but the staff ignored me at dinner only attended to white people I stayed for 30 min until I left 🚮Shout out to the guy at the office helped me with printing a document. I was in room 1 and there is no network and no wifi

    Great accommodation for winter When we came back late in the cold the staff would have switched on the aircon and electric blankets. Fire lit in the lodge Tastefully furnished Good food Only drawback be aware of roadworks, time to reach lodge

    Lots to see and do around town and on the meander.

    Lots to see and do around town and on the meander. Staff from most shops seems knowledgable. Most experiences has to do with food and shopping (we aren't adventurers). All attractions are quite close to each other.
