we have been to Oudtshoorn several times over a number of years. The attractions are mainly the same but still worth a visit - however interesting to see how much the town has grown and evolved. The drive through the Swartberg Mountains is NOT to be missed. The primary reason we took this trip.Guest review bySumayaSouth Africa - 10.0
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay.
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay. There is a large back patio with built-in braai, protected from the water and a front stoep to soak in the beautiful views. The bathrooms are really spacious with large walk in showers. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. There is no TV but fast wifi so streaming from your phone is easy.Guest review byElmarieSouth Africa - 10.0

A wonderful spot for a mini break - offers scenic drives and wonderful experiences. The people are generally warm and welcoming. There are many small businesses worth supporting. Stayed at Mooiplaas guest house a few years ago and the service and provisions were highly commendable!Guest review byWSouth Africa - 8.0

It is a very quaint and tranquil little town bout 30 km from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. There is an ample amount of restaurants and wine shops and a few souvenir shops. Spending a full day to experience the real charm of the little village. While there take a short drive into Meiringspoort and discover CJ Langenhovens carved stone with the inscription Herry, which was the name of his imaginary elephant or travel up to the waterfall, all a mere 10 or 12 kim from De Rust.Guest review byChrisfcsSouth Africa
