- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 76 reviewsRegrettably we unfortunately travelled during extreme weather conditions which resulted in excessive flooding of roads in the Western Cape. This meant that we were not able to reach Robertson and had to cancel our accommodation at Paul Kruger. This was unfortunate as the accommodation perfectly suited our needs. The positive is that the establishment showed its compassionate nature and refunded us for the accommodation we had previously paid for an were unable to use.Guest review byTerrySouth Africa

Robertson is a wonderful place, lots to do. Great wine farms and lovely people. Food is nice as there are many locations for lunch, breakfast and Dinner. We always travel here for the wine farms, so safe to say if you are a fan, you are in the right place!Guest review byAnnetteSouth Africa - 8.0
Beautiful, clean little town.
Beautiful, clean little town. Quant little clothing shops, beautiful to visit. Maaaany bargains to be found. Mostly, friendly people. Only at Jimmys restaurant, did we have very poor reception, but we didn't let that upset us, we went and had a Fantastic meal at Four Cousins . Our meals at the coffee shop in Roberstons, Strictly Coffee, were out of this World, magnificent service and hearty, delicious meals.Guest review byCrawford - 10.0
A quaint little town with all the amenities.
A quaint little town with all the amenities. 'Tim Jan' store and the 'Cheese factory shop' on the outskirts of the town are a must for those few things you may have forgotten. browsing the secondhand shops was also a rewarding experience. The only 'negative' we arrived on a public holiday early in the morning and there was no place where we could have a cup of coffee... something to consider for the 'early morning' arrivals. This however did not detract from the overall 'Bonnievale' experience :)Guest review byThe TravellerSouth Africa - 8.0

A quiet town between Robertson and Montagu, surrounded by vinyards and orchards. Shopping and dining within 10 to 20 minutes of scenic driving. Montagu had a lovely, intimate market, selling home made jams, preserves, cakes, clothing and some brick a brac. Robertson had live music and delicious meals at Bourbon Street restaurant, on the main road. Beautiful historic buildings and wine farms close by. Don't forget to by wine!Guest review byAngeliqueSouth Africa - 10.0

The restaurants, bars and cafes were all very welcoming and served delicious food and great wines. The locals have time to chat and share what they love about their town and why they live there. There is a real sense of community.Guest review bySue ShipleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The cabins were fine. Idyllic spot .
The cabins were fine. Idyllic spot . We had a nasty incident where there was a man on the property pretending to be the manager, but turned out to be a con man and a thief. We had to call a security company. Very unnerving. No sign of the owner's, no apology.security needs to be jacked up,Guest review byMeganSouth Africa
