A most delightful vibrant little town, one needs to remember it is a student town, so if staying close to clubs and pubs, going to be a little noisy. Great shopping and eating experiences. Traffic quite crazy though.Guest review bySHIRLEYSouth Africa - 10.0

Near all major roads and towns, yet out of town in a quiet rural setting with beautiful views and a peacful environment. Several restaurants and wine in the immediate vicinity or within 15 minutes drive. Most wine farms have great restaurants. Avoid Stellenbosch during peak traffic times.Guest review byKeithSouth Africa - 10.0
Loved the location.
Loved the location. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, as well as looked after our dog when we went out. It was one of the most relaxing times away I have had in a very long time.Guest review byJasonSouth Africa - 10.0
Visiting the wine farms was great!
Visiting the wine farms was great! We visited Somerbosch with our trip. We also had a quick bite to eat at The Thirsty Scarecrow. We loved the pizzas at Ishushu from their trailer at Steynsrust bridge. The scenic drives along the coast, especially to Rooi Els and Betty'sbay was breathtaking. Don't skip a coffee and toastie at Coffee on the Go in Gordonsbay. Will need to go back for another month to get to see all they have to offer.Guest review byRonelLomSouth Africa - 10.0

Friendly staff with great accommodation super comfy beds and very spacious. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast was five star quality! If you want to visit wine farms and visit the country this is a MUST stay. It is close to Franschhoek and if you need to go to town Stellenbosch is not far away. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.Guest review byZonomessisSouth Africa - 10.0

Raithby was one of the few properties in the area that gave us the opportunity to book for only one night. The living area was quaint but very comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. There were facilities in both rooms for tea and coffee. The shower was very spacious.Guest review byCarolynSouth Africa - 10.0

By the end of the first night we regretted not booking for more days. Karen is a super-host among all I have experienced. Her kindness, availability and willingness to help us is deeply appreciated. The recommendations to the local attractions were spot on and amplified our stay even more. We will miss the conversations, the curious and friendly dogs and the generous chickens. It honestly felt more like home and we will make an excuse just to stay again when we are in town.Guest review byAmzoleleHungary - 10.0

For the foodies - you are just spoilt for choice with incredible restaurants all over the town. Beautiful vineyards, exquisite wine farms, you need a month to really see and do it all! Recommendations: hire e bikes and go for a ride. Jonkershoek reserve is magnificent. Incredible restaurants: Fat Butcher, Asta, Vendetta to name a few. Wonderful stores and everything so conveniently located.Guest review byShelleySouth Africa
