The room was smaller than we expected and the design meant that it was difficult to open our suitcase. We had booked a meal in the restaurant and were surprised to find we were the only people there. We were very disappointed in our meal which was to be a special birthday meal. The vegetables were not cooked well, the wine was also disappointing. Having eaten 'Spātzle' in many locations in Germany and Austria, I was surprised that cheese was not oozing through the Spätzle as it is supposed to do but instead just melted on the top. The Spātzle also were not the best I've tried.

The location is very good and easily accessible from the motorway. The setting allows for lovely walks with your dog. Communication with staff via email before arrival was good.

Excellent location, close to the motorway with a great car park yet completely silent. It has been updated but without loosing any of its old-fashioned charm. The bathroom fittings were of high quality and interesting design. All the staff spoke excellent english and were more than welcoming. The walk through the Castle into the little town was romantic and there were several restaurants/cafes to choose from in the centre which was within a 10 minute walk.

The ceiling was full of spiderwebs. I killed 4 spiders before going to bed. The floor had somekind of heating "channel" covered by some kind of grid that was sticking up from the corners. Nearly broke my toe walking into one of those.

Nothing! The only slight niggle was the shower head not staying up but it was a very minor thing.

Beautiful setting two steps from the stunning Vöhlinschloss with lots of trails nearby and a lovely garden behind the hotel. Wonderful receptionist who spoke perfect English and was very kind, helpful and efficient. Nice restaurant with a great choice of tasty food. Very clean, quiet and comfortable bedrooms.

Nothing to complain about at all.

It is a strikingly handsome building right next to a Bavarian castle. It feels glamorous just pulling up in the car. Inside it has a grand yet cosy ambience, the restaurant area is all heavy oak woodwork and hand painted panels with local scenes. The staff were very cheerful and helpful, we felt comfortable right away after our long drive. It's a great stop off on a drive from the UK ferries to Italy or vise-versa. It's a five minute walk into town.

No bar facilties, which being out of the town is a bit of a problem. No aircon in rooms and the rooms were unbelievably hot. Breakfast was very basic.

The room was very cold and could not be warmed up above 19-20 °C in spite the full opening of the valve of the heater within 2 days. The local restaurant downstairs was full when I arrived and it took 1,5 hours until I could have something to eat. It can be inconvenient after a full day driving a car. Other local restaurants are quite far for walking. The menu is rather short, including only pork and beef dishes (e.g. no poultry). The waitress is the receptionist at the same time and sometimes it is a challenge for her.

The room is clean and the bathroom is big. Easy access by car from the motorway nr. 7.
