Poor reception by staff for evening meal.

Pool was a little small , not a huge complaint. The swim was refreshing after our car journey.

The hotel was excellent. The guy in reception was very helpful friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was also excellent the next morning and girl on duty at reception very friendly. We had great free parking. 1st night of this year’s Spain car trip landing in Bilbao at 12.30. Excellent halfway spot heading to Pensacola.

The hotel is only 19 years old and has obviously been a very distinguished place in the beginning. Now not any more - wooden decks are fallings apart, access rightly denied, signs hanging loosely on the walls represent the very poor conditions of the surroundings. The pond around the building is empty and gives a sad impression of what must have been a stunning feature in the good days. Tiles falling off in the pool is unavoidable, but repairing them with patches of a comletely different color would make the original arquitect´s heart bleed. It´s a shame seeing the exquisite place declining. Spider webs and cracks in the walls in public areas. Staff in the morning called at 11.19h (checkout time 12.00h) - I was already standing in the door - to reminding me to check out now - not in a friendly tone. They promised lactose free alternatives at breakfast, but other than lactose free milk there weren´t any. Not even cheese or yoghurt. When asked for maragrine they pointed to the butter. Bit dissapointing.

The room was very spacious and clean- exquisite flooring and modern design- big bathroom with extra room for a toilet. very classy furniture, good beds. Nice pool. The suroundings are beautiful, nice golf course. The arquitecture of the hotel is one of a kind, like in a movie. High class materials and stunning wooden elements. Could be a gemstone in a great landscape. Night staff on arrival was very friendly. Breakfast was good.

We were not allowed to walk on the golf course so really there was nowhere to go and nothing to do, but it was great for a stopover enroute due to the positives.

It was a huge hotel but empty and first impressions were not so good but in fact we were very pleasantly surprised with the room which had everything you need including fridge, and the staff and the food, which was also good value, were both exceptional. We had lunch and breakfast. I believe it was closing for the winter a few days later.

Absolutely fantastic place. Room was huge and exceptional quality, even had a balcony. The two ladies at reception were super nice, breakfast was great. I was there in September with only a handful of other guests, so it was really quiet and tranquil

The windows in the room were so dirty so we could hardly see the street. The smell was disgusting like it was wet in the room for a few days. the plumbing was covered in streaks and someone's hair.

The couple of things I would improve its the shower, it is sort of risky getting in and out of the bath tab. And also the breakfast should the open at least 30 minutes earlier.

I liked pretty much everything. Love the place and the location
