How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is worth refreshing the kitchen equipment.
Very good for families. Good location, large apartment with separate bedroom. A swimming pool is a big plus. Recommended

The accommodation itself is quite basic for the price paid - at over £300 per night I would have expected a few more facilities - only one small restaurant on site catering for golfers which was expensive and only open for lunch with a limited menu, not even a vending machine for snacks or anywhere to buy a drink. The reception was also closed between 12-4pm every day, and there were no parasols for the sun loungers by the pool. The apartment was not very clean - the floor was dirty on arrival and there were cobwebs in the bedrooms, we also had to make up our own beds (although I’m told this is standard in France), had only one pillow allocated per person and the towels were small and thin with no beach/pool towels available. All in all we felt the price reflected the excellent location of the property rather than the accommodation itself which felt rather basic.
Location is fabulous - walking distance to a beautiful lake and midway between Biscarrosse town and beach. The lake was great with lots of activities on offer, and the beach had a great vibe with lots of restaurants and bars. The pool area was lovely and well maintained, but lacking any shade or parasols. The board games and books available were great. The property itself is very family-friendly, quiet and peaceful.

The pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The bike rental offered was overpriced. The pool working hours were way too short.
Nice place if you want be far away from everything. Wery good relaxing place. Nice and responsive staff.

Location in the middle of pine forest, very tranquil and beautiful. The swimming pool was never overcrowded. Very close to the lake-10 min walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Communication was very transparent and accommodating from the moment we booked. We had very pleasant and relaxing stay. Thank you.

balcony not cleaned before our arrival, many cobwebs and spiders the bathroom was also not of satisfactory quality in my opinion, plus cobwebs

Really good accomodation in a good location of the Arcachon region. The apartment is really comfortable, and well equipped! The staff is really friendly and communicative. The neighbourhood is silent and beautiful.

The smell in the toilet was disgusting. They tried to fix it, but it didn't help and the reception was closed for 2 days.

1. Facilities are quite aged. No airco, during +35 degrees outside it's a nightmare to have a rest - too hot inside. 2. No room cleaning! No replacement of the bed linen. Staying for a few days could be ok, but we stayed for 14 nights. Towels can be replaced at the reception. 3. Room cleaning service must be ordered in advance during booking the stay. At Booking.com I didn't see any warning about it! There is a vacuum cleaner, but pissing 200+ euro per night we were not expecting to be busy with the household activities. 4. Be ready to clean the room even after check in - you will find web cobs she sand remainders. 5. Btw you will need to buy even toilet paper yourselves. 6. Consider you will have just a room for 200+ euro per night - it's totally unfair value for money. 7. No catering at all on site.
Not a bad location, 15 minutes walk to the lake, 10 min drive to the ocean side.
