How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We found the facilites fabulous - beds very comfy, bedroom & batroom spotless. Lovely touch having the tea (Barrys 😀) & coffee in the room & Susan the host made sure we had nice fresh milk. Lovely homemade granola & brown bread for brekki. Both Susan & Denis were so welcoming and happy to share info on local attractions etc. We felt v much at home & will definity return. Highly recommend.

Nothing, it was all perfect and just what we were looking for
Suzies guesthouse was lovely and very homely! We stayed for 1 night in Cork and the room we had was cosy, clean and in perfect location to the city centre. We crossed the road and took a bus straight in which runs every 10 mins. Suzie and her family were lovely, the breakfast was tasty and we really loved her homemade granola! We would highly recommend this guesthouse and will be back again!

There was nothing that I didn’t like. I actually wanted to stay an extra day, but I was just not lucky enough because it was already fully booked.
The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful, the room was just like home cozy, clean and comfortable. It smelled really nice. Plus the breakfast was very good.

Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood near the promenade. Very friendly hosts with lots of helpful advice. Very rich and varied breakfast. The room was spacious and very tidy. Everything was great.

The only drawback was that we happened to be there during a heatwave so our room got a bit warm. Thankfully, Suzie was able to give us 2 fans which helped take the edge off.
What a beautiful bed and breakfast! Suzie and her husband have a spectacular eye for detail. From our gorgeous room and cozy bed, to the delicious breakfast they served, this is a pretty special place. They were lovely to chat with and had lots of recommendations for our stay in Cork.

Nothing negative to report at this accommodation.
When we arrived there Susan and her husband was there to greet us. Both gave us lots of information. They also organised a taxi to get to a hotel later same evening. Both are well suited to meeting people and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Good parking facilities. Room was nice and clean. Top class accommodation and exceeded our expectations. 10/10 for this stay.

Leaving!!
I never use guest houses or B&B's but after staying here it has changed my mind! I will definitely be using this guest house on a return visit to Cork. The room was gorgeous, lovely decor had all the facilities we needed, tea, coffee, water and biscuits in the room, nice touch. The breakfast was lovely too, home baked goods different types of coffee and tea, salmon eggs ,yoghurts fruit etc. But most importantly and what really made the stay special was Susan and Denis. They are so lovely, warm and welcoming and full of the chats. They made us feel at home and made sure we were looked after. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

Everything was perfect
Everything! The house and the room were awesome, the breakfast super nice and location was great! You feel like you are in the true Ireland! But the best thing were the landlords, they were lovely. Super nice and welcoming people, they gave as a gift a box of chocolates to my girlfriend because it was her birthday. Everything was perfect, I truly recommend this B&B!

We stayed here for a concert at Live in the Marquee and couldn’t have picked a better spot, it was within walking distance to the venue, which made the whole evening so easy and enjoyable. Susan and her family were really welcoming the moment we arrived. The room was really nice and clean. If you're heading to an event in the Marquee, this is the ideal place to stay. Would definitely recommend!
