The room and hotel was somewhat outdated, without airconditioning.

The hotel was perfectly located nearby the entrance of the hiking trail for the Gorropu. Also, breakfast and diner were good as well as the hosts who were super friendly.

Quite a few bugs and mosquitos in my room when I arrived. Had to go mosquito hunting before I could sleep but that could happen in any hotel.

The nights in the mountains are very cold so the room was very cold too and no heating running.

Were so pleased to see this propery after cycling in torrential rain. It has a welcoming feel to the reception & bar. The room is clean & spacious, good shower. And fabulous veiws towards the mountains. Very good breakfast with many choices.

Uncomfortable bed, push button coffee, no AC. We had to close the outside window due to smoke from a far away fire and it was too hot to sleep well.

We had no AC in the room, however breeze was coming in from the window. The breakfast was very poor. We couldn’t lift the cheese because it was stuck to the plate and the scrambled eggs were too cold.

We had a beautiful view from our bedroom window. The hotel is very clean. The food at their restaurant was quite good, however it was pricey and not really worth it.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice, cozy, and peaceful place up in the mountains. If you are up for hiking, the canyon hike starts right at the hotel's doorsteps. Also, the staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. They met us with open hands even though we arrived very late, and did not complain when we asked for some snacks after a long drive. The hotel facilities were good, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast also was quite good. Thanks for hospitality.

Simona was an exceptionally helpful and kind member of staff. Most of the staff spoke really good English and where one staff member did not, he went to great lengths to ensure that I was understood. Beautiful location in the mountain - the perfect location for a walk in Su Gorropu (not to be missed/collected from the Hotel) or the surrounding mountains. Lovely views into the mountains from the room, which was very comfortable and clean. The hotel had the best variety of vegetarian food that I found on my travels - especially a delicious bean soup and a lovely packed lunch for the hike into the Gorge.

The location of Gorropu hotel is amazing - just across the road from where you can hike to the canyon!! However, I feel that this is played on by the hotel because they charge a premium for rooms which are in fact VERY basic! We were shocked and saddened by the rooms, after being charged much more to stay there, than at any other place in Sardinia where we stayed! The beds were very hard, and the decor was very basic. The shower took a long time to get lukewarm and was just a trickle, and one of the towel holders was sloping down the wall so couldn't hold any towels. Very disappointing! Add to that, a small bottle of beer was 7 euros!! The breakfast was ok - lots of sweet biscuits and pastries, but the eggs were freezing cold :) The staff were very helpful!
