- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 152 reviewsMarpunta Resort was absolutely delightful. The grounds the hotel is located on are exquisite, the pool was incredible, the private beaches (yes there are multiple) are stunning with crystal waters and well situated to offer good protection from wind/waves. They're made up of small pebbles which means no sand to clean off and no seaweed either. But bring your water shoes because without them, the pebbles can be painful to walk on. That said, the best part of the resort was the staff. Kostas and his team were extremely attentive to our families needs. A special thank you to Lela and Stefanos at the pool bar who catered to our every need despite being extra busy with a wedding that was going on at the same time as our stay. And an extra big THANK YOU to Christina for the lovely souvenirs for our children:) The house cleaning was on point and made sure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay. The all inclusive option was excellent value for us. Delicious food options offered all day and again the service was exceptional. Drinks are available all day (10 am to 11 pm) I read many complaints on this site about the drinks being inconsistent/subpar but our experience was quite the opposite, very smooth service and consistent pours. The pool side service was great offering pizzas, burgers and sandwiches inbetween normal meal hours. This hotel was a strong 4 star throughout our stay ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ✨Guest review bySashaCanada
- From US$128.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 285 reviewsOur stay was fantastic. I don't know from where to start, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the little details, the super friendly staff, the breathtaking view over a quiet bay, the idyllic little walks to the closest restaurants and beaches. Everything but really everything was perfect. We felt at home the minute we walked in. Mary and Angelo were always there for advice or even for a little chat. The rest of the staff, Christina, Andreas, Adonis, James, and everybody else were accommodating all of our wishes with a smile on their faces. The location of Yalis couldn't have been better, quiet but not isolated. The pool was with salt water, and the pool bar had everything you needed. The breakfast had good variety and overlooked the sea. We are definitely coming back to Yalis.Guest review byClaudia IskanderCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsThe hotel is a small one, a family hotel, rooms are great, you have a terrace to take a coffe or just stay laiyng in the sun. The hosts are great, they take care of anything you want. We have eaten very good fish catch by them the same day. They make a great saganaky with shrimps. The breakfast is very good, you have a lot to choose. There are several beaches at 10-15 min by car. Sandy beaches, rocky beaches, the water is blue and clean. În the evening you can go to Patitiri, to Steni Vala to eat greek food, you can try sweets at Eleni' bakery. Do not forget to buy greek olive oil, is formidable.Guest review byAureliaRomania
- From US$102.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 430 reviewsWonderful, family-run hotel. Our studio room was comfortable and stylish with its own private, shaded terrace. Good air conditioning. Nice bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfasts and loved all the old paintings, the old photos of Patitiri and all the other lovely decorative touches. But the best thing about staying here? The owner, Mary, who was so friendly, so helpful and just a delight! We loved our stay and would happily return if we ever come back to beautiful, relaxed Alonissos.Guest review byJaneAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 157 reviewsThe views were stunning, the bed comfortable and the room clean. You need a car or scooter to get around Alonnisos anyway, but this location was perfect for accessing a couple of restaurants and the bay for swimming. Maria is a very special host and made me feel very welcome, they gave me great recommendations and helped me to organise transport and activities. I will be returning again.Guest review byBethanyAustralia

The view from the balcony is amazing. The mattress is extremely comfortable! A beautiful beach with nice restaurants is less than 1 minute walk. Alonnissos has great beaches, excellent food (traditional and modern), nice weather and a few folklore and antiquities (mainly on the Ottoman period, while some underwater archaeological sites are developing right now). It's good to have a car (and even better a 4X4), since most beaches are not in walking distance. Chora (the old village) is really pittoresque.Guest review byCostisGreece - 8.0
The island is beautiful, very green, wonderful beaches.
The island is beautiful, very green, wonderful beaches. The village is super cute and overall it is a fantastic place with loads of history. Would definitely recommend it for people who wish to have a peaceful, easy going and relaxing holiday! Ideal for couples and families. Some of the restaurants could use an upgrade on the menu. Traditional greek food has a lot more to offer than the standard menu most restaurants offer in the island.Guest review byEpistemeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice quiet location, close to nearby markets and a very good souvlaki / gyros place - very tasty and very good value. If you like walking, Milia beach is not far and Spartines is perfect on a calm day. In Patitiri the restaurant we liked most was Bacco. This is authentic Italian with beautiful pasta and pizza, prepared by the very pleasant Italian who provides a good range of beautiful Italian wines at modest prices- wines that have been well cared for despite the heat of summer. A wonderful place to relax and dine. A good range of imported fine Italian ingredients ranging from a pasta to wine and cheeses can be bought from this restaurant.Guest review byChristopher - 10.0

Steni Vala is a small fishing village, now used by yachts over night. There are lots of excellent taverns. Most offer accommodation. You can spend time just people watching. Eat and drink talking to the locals who are very friendly, some are famous. There is a dive centre and water activity’s. Beaches are Peebles.Guest review bySaraGreece - 10.0

Quiet bay with small sand and pebble beach, water is calm and great for swimming and snorkelling. A few houses and apartments around bay, 5-10 minute walk to Steni Vala on a good path, however path is rough for pulling a case if arrive by bus.Guest review byJoanneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The bay is a little off the beaten track, so a car, scooter or a longish and steep walk is needed. There are coastal walks you can take to move to beaches further north. There are a couple of bars next to the Milia beach, with umbrellas and beds on the beach., although there is also plenty of free beach either side of this.Guest review byNeilItaly - 10.0

Alonnisos and Patitiri is one of our favorite islands in Greece. This is the fourth time we have visited the island and there will be another visit next year. Here, life still goes smoothly, little stress, not overcrowded with tourists. And then they have the "best" Greek restaurant "OSTRIA" we have experienced in our 29 years of holidays in Greece. If you like seafood, try the unique mussel dish they have... superb!Guest review bySmall4estNorway - 8.0
We loved the old town and the beaches were gorgeous.
We loved the old town and the beaches were gorgeous. The amazing smell of the wild fig trees was amazing as you drove around the island. We were only disappointed with the port town of Patitri which was a bit rundown. We felt 2 nights in Alonnisos is perfect. Stay in old town and there are a couple of great restaurants and an amazing piano bar for after dinner - so fun. Great spots to sit and have drinks in the center as well.Guest review byJillUnited States - 10.0

We didn't have a car so it was easy to be there in the evening and use the restaurants there. Two local supermarkets too. We found a path to Patatiri which we could walk in 20 minutes (but not with a suitcase). Also a local beach & others you could walk toGuest review byJudy FUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Middle to end of May was so very quiet and peaceful, you need car to get around to the many beaches and fishing ports, Old Town and wonderful restaurants. It was a little cold at the start of our trip 21st May and we needed a fleece for the evenings. The sea was fresh, but warmed up towards the end of May. If you want quiet, peace and relaxation a great place to visit in early or late season. If you want a little more then visit July / August where it is much warmer, the bars are open and it much busier, with sunbeds on the beach and music in many bars on the beach. If you want to enjoy some Spa Treatments, Lunch, Cocktails, then visit Infinity 180 / The Amani 180 - need to book. This is a family business and Sharon, Mark, Luke and Ewa will make you very WelcomeGuest review byChristineUnited Kingdom
