- From US$117.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 727 reviewsThe decor, room and facilities were all beautiful, you can tell they really put in a lot of thought into every detail for it to look that good. The food from the restaurant was also delicious and with tons of variety, I was very surprised that they carried a whole gluten-free menu (i’m celiac so you can imagine how happy I was when i found out about their menu). The staff was also wonderful -Dora was the sweetest! The location was good, maybe not walking distance from everything, but hey, no place will be walking distance from everything. However its still a good location because it’s in between different areas (downtown, malls, parks, etc) so ubering was super easy (and cheap) to different places. Overall great place and staff, also felt super safe and welcome the whole time. 10/10 recommend!Guest review byMeimeiCosta Rica
- From US$172.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 672 reviewsThe room was perfect if you want to leave the word some time, no internet, no TV, its just you with the sound of the birds in the morning, or the crickets at night. The restaurant, was great. I love the tomato soup. The staff, they are so nice, really helpfull. You can also go hiking near the river, you can see some Quetzals (if you have luck) Its the perfect place to relax and connect with yourself or to connect with your partner, family or friends. Dont forget to bring some cozy clothes and snickers!!! You will love this place.Guest review byTaniaCosta Rica

We spent the first and last night of our trip to Costa Rica in San José, but in retrospect, that was one night too many. Due to the traffic chaos, it simply takes too long to get to the hotels in San José, so you lose the desire to really explore the city.Guest review byRobertGermany - 10.0

Vista Canyon Inns was highly recommended by my Doctor and they did not disappoint me. Mr. Dr. and the hospital were minutes away and the hotel arranged all my transportation. Great restaurants of all varieties and prices were within a short ride or UBER Eats. Loved this part of the Central Valley. The mall is huge but, very expensive. Much better than staying in SAN JOSE.Guest review byMarsha WaddelowUnited States - 10.0
Rivas is a great location to base yourself.
Rivas is a great location to base yourself. It's easily reachable from San Jose via good quality roads. Rivas has a great selection of national parks to visit, plenty of local restaurants and other attractions to visit and keep you busy. Additionally, it is close enough to the East coast to be a great base for day trips. We travelled to both Dominical and Uvita in under two hours. This puts a large number of other national parks within easy reach.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

It feels safe, even at night to walk around. lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Traffic is very heavy though and you have to pay attention crossing the street. Feels like an upper class neighborhood that is fairly well kept up. Also on the bus line and have never had a problem getting an Uber there.Guest review byfrenchUnited States - 6.0

San Jose is a patchwork of beautiful sites amidst a chaotic mess of traffic-riddled highways. We didn't really stay long enough to give it an accurate review, but our short stay was not encouraging. We spent most of our time in Costa Rica on the Pacific Coast, which was quite pleasant.Guest review byJoshuaUnited States - 10.0

It is really nice, we went to Savegre for dinner since we had a reservation made on one restaurant there, but I am sure that if you plan the trip to fully stay on Copey you would find a lot to see, walk and do there.
