This is a sweet little inn in a great locale. Bacharach is full of old-world charm with lots of places to walk, eat and see. Our room at the Bacharacher Hof was very comfortable, with a little balcony to enjoy at the end of the day. We didn't use the pool, but others did. Parking was free a block or so away. The Rhine is just across the road, with a lovely riverside walk. You can explore the old stone city walls and many nooks and crannies in the town. Other Rhine gems are minutes away, making this an excellent hub for exploring castles and wineries. One of the best experiences was the included breakfast at the hotel. What a feast! Breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, fresh juice, wonderful coffee. And the hostess made it all so special. Her English is perfect and she seems to know just what you need. She is a bundle of smiles and energy. We would highly recommend a stay in Bacharach and especially at the Bacharacher Hof.

This family-run hotel is set in a half-timbered building directly on the historic market square in Bacharach. The Altkölnischer Hof is an ideal base for exploring the UNESCO Middle Rhine Valley.

Everything was great! We even asked for late check out and it was agreed without extra charge! It is also very easy to park in front of the hotel for 4 euro per day! Self check in was also very convieneient!

This was a lovely hotel, and our room (no 305) was stunning. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. Staff were very friendly. We would highly recommend Rheinliebe bistro for dinner. Ask staff for shortcut at the back of the hotel . Also enjoyed wine tasting at weingut graf von kanitz in the village. There is a well stocked supermarket at the top of the road too.

Everything is really nice about the property. Not just the fabulous location…. The road up to the castle is already an experience…. The castle and the staff were amazing. and its not just that. It’s also the little details in the room that makes the stay wonderful. (And makes you feel the passion of the team and owner) …. The welcome liqueur in the room, the Penhaligon shampoo, body wash AND conditioner (the only hotel in Germany we stayed in that still had conditioner), the feather pen that turns out to be a real pen, the writing paper, etc etc. Dinner at the terrace is good,..to dine at such location amazing.

This five-generation old hotel is clearly an institution in this area and they deserve the fine reputation that they enjoy. Our stay was wonderful; the room was clean and comfortable, the guests were all happy (which made us happy), and the general atmosphere was friendly and convivial. Breakfast was outstanding with good quality food being served. We also had two very good dinners at the hotel, which I would rate as the best we have eaten at in our one-month holiday. Great location with lots of wonderful walks and trails nearby.

The hotel is walking distance to the Sankt Goar train station and ferry. Additionally, the view from the hotel is exquisite! Check-in was smooth, warm and friendly staff and good quality food (breakfast and dinner). If one is looking to spend some days in Sankt Goar, this hotel is highly recommended!

Everything was just perfect. Check-in and chek-out, the staff, the room with a balcony above a little creek, the furniture and comfy beds, it was quiet at night (could feel different with open window in hot summer night), the breakfast and also the meals and the style they were served in the open-air restaurant in the backyard, the wifi for casual traffic and browsing, the parking in front of the property (maybe we were just lucky since the hotel wasn't fully booked during our stay).
