I liked the traditional decor in the hotel and the staff were very obliging and helpful. It was comfortable and very relaxed. Killin was a nice town, and the surrounding area had stunning scenery. I got upgraded from a double room with river views to a four poster bed corner room (room 17) with river views. Lovely room with character and a lots of space. The staff was very friendly. Diner surprised me, I had steak and all pie with crisps and mixed vegetables. We chose the hotel to celebrate my birthday and the owner and staff wished me happy birthday when I arrived and put a birthday banner up above my table in the restaurant which was a lovely touch when we went for dinner. The hosts upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge. Great atmosphere in the bar and even handed out free pies to all during the rugby. Really nice touches. Dinner and breakfast were amazing.
