The location is brilliant for exploring the local area and the facilities on offer make for a great stay if you want to just unwind at the hotel. We were able to add breakfast in bed for a small charge which we did each morning and it was always tasty and well presented. It was well equipped with both free weights and machines. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The staff I met in the hotel were also very friendly, although I felt we had the space to come and go. Our room was spruced up daily. The river was a lovely backdrop to our stay and was both dramatic and relaxing in equal measure. Pool was a nice temp and not too busy in the evening when we used those facilities. Hot tub, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were lovely. Breakfast was the best. Lots of choice and cooked to order. The lock on our door was faulty but was quickly fixed with a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Our room was spotless with the added bonus of a jacuzzi bath and lovely view of he gardens.
