The pub garden was such a lovely setting and we enjoyed sitting in the sun and having a drink by the river - very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pub had a good atmosphere and it was quirky and old with lots of character. Plenty of parking so that was great. A good base to explore. It takes about five mins to walk in to the centre of the town - and Ripon is generally very walkable and has some nice restaurants. They're very relaxed about the parking too.
