If you choose the top 5 Hotel in Delhi, I suggest Taj Mahal as it is not too far from the sightseeings (just by taxi or Tuk-tuk). The only place you can walk is Khan Market (800 m). Breakfest is ok and there are 4 restaurants for dinner, not cheep as the hotel isnt't cheep, too. Good pool and wellness. Staff is polite, sometimes too polite (you need time for conversations)

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tatvamasi Homestay twice – once at the beginning of our trip to India and again at the end, before our flight home. I discovered this place through an article that recommended it, and its excellent reviews convinced us to book. We can confidently say that this homestay is the perfect choice for starting your journey in India, largely thanks to the amazing owner, who truly lives up to all the praise he receives in other reviews. The owner was incredibly helpful, giving us lots of useful advice. He even let us choose our room since he had two available and kindly gave us a short tour of South Delhi to show us the area’s cafes and restaurants. The rooms are exceptionally clean – much cleaner than most hotels we’ve stayed at. Towels were changed daily, and he also provided us with plenty of filtered water bottles, which was very thoughtful. The owner also helped us with laundry for a very reasonable price (15 rupees per item, though this price might change in the future). We were lucky to be there on New Year’s Eve when he organized a small gathering on the rooftop terrace. It was such a cozy evening – he served us some delicious treats, and we all warmed up around a small fire, sharing stories and enjoying the festive atmosphere. We wholeheartedly recommend Tatvamasi Homestay for anyone visiting New Delhi. It’s more than just a place to stay – it’s a warm, welcoming home that makes your trip even more memorable.

I stayed at the hotel with my child (1.5years) for one night before the departure flight the next morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. I felt really safe. All staffs at the front desk, concierge and restaurant were so helpful and ensured we got what I and the baby needed from the moment I set foot in front of the hotel. I was so grateful as it took a lot of stress out of travelling with a baby. The receptionist made an earlier checkin for us. The porters helped with our several luggages. We had lunch and dinner buffet at the farmers' basket at Pluck on the ground floor. Wide ranges of foods (Indian, European, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, etc. ) were provided and they were tasty. Water and hot drinks were also included. Thanks to the restaurant receptionist for giving us the table at the sofa, the waitress at the lunch service who kept checking on us, Manish and Pankaj for ensuring we got warm milk in a paper cup (several times) and other things. The checkout process was also great. I came down to the front desk to checkout and pay. A porter picked up the bags and coordinated with the taxi for us. I used the taxi service from the hotel which had a VIP pass so it could use the inner lane in front of the Terminal to drop us off. The driver helped also with the luggages.
