I loved the location, on top of a hill with a STUNNING view on the lake and the Alps around it. I also appreciated the absolute kindness of the staff: they have been extremely kind, welcoming, friendly, and authentic. They even mailed to me a book I had forgotten in the room.

The view is absolutely stunning! the hosts are very kind and helpful and have two beautiful dogs. The restaurant has great local food. The pool and jacuzzi are a great addition to the stay.

Locanda Milano 1873 is the perfect accomodation for those who love hiking, trekking and cycling. The hotel is located in Brunate, on a hilltop position 5 km or 6 minutes by the funicolar from Como.

The owner of the hotel was very friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was delicious and there was even a nice classical music playing in the backgroud. It was very peaceful.

Perfect place to enjoy the lake, just a few minutes away by walk from the city centre. The view is simply breathtaking. Delicious breakfast which can be also enjoyed outside. Amazing and helpful staff.

The room was beautiful! Very nicely updated while keeping the classic charm of an Italian apartment. Plenty of space to lay out our things and relax. The shower was equipped with a rain shower overheard and a shower wand. We had our own little terrace leading to the inner courtyard to have coffee on. Bed was comfortable and the linens we quite nice. You couldn’t beat the location. Very easy to get to from the train and only a short walk to the water. Please note that although Google maps will lead you all the way to the front door, you are NOT permitted to drive on this street. Italy has very strict rules about their historic centers to limit pollution. There is plenty of off street parking that is free overnight and very reasonable, by US standards, during the day. The host, Alexandra, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. She was readily available throughout our stay to answer questions about the property and Como. Would definitely stay here again.

The views were outstanding but the treatment by the owner of the house was even more. She was paying attention to every detail, making sure we wouldn’t miss anything. Then, of course, the location itself of this place is unbelievable. I would repeat 100 times.
