It felt like an oasis. The swimming pool was absolutely exceptional, with bedrooms overlooking the lake. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and there were a lot of very tasty food options. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful stay! A beautiful hotel run by truly lovely people. The hospitality was warm, courteous, and sincere, and I felt right at home during my stay. I was so happy, I extended my stay for a second night. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a great mattress on the bed. Check in/out was easy, and the hosts were responsive and communicative. They also were very helpful in supporting me during my stay, and helped with my travel planning by giving me time and attention to answer my questions, and offer suggestions and advice. This was wonderful! The breakfasts were also wonderful, so don't deny yourself this offer. I highly recommend to all, and wish I could have stayed longer!

Had a really great time! The owner is a extremely friendly and funny guy, who can help you with everything, from travel ideas to personal problems. The rooms are really spacious and clean and the breakfast and dinner buffet is tasty and a lot for a good price. In addition he knows the best Tuktuk drivers for tours around the place without commission.

Nice family run place and value for money esp with the included breakfast.Even specially made some kiribath for us. It's right in town but down a small lane, so you don't hear noise from busy main road. They also run a taxi service which is very reasonable!

Cannot thank the staff enough. We had the best 7 days on Sri Lanka thanks to their amazing hospitality. The room was massive and we had 2 interconnected rooms that were very clean and well maintained. The food was incredible and well worth paying for half board. My kids asked if we could stay forever! This place will have a little place in our hearts and I honestly cannot recommend the place enough. Thank you

To be honest, it is hard to say that the room condition or service quality is equal or better than 5-star hotels. So if you expect perfection as a hotel, you may be slightly disappointed. The room condition is a bit old. However, the experience of staying here cannot be evaluated simply by the quality of the accommodation. It is the best. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere surronded by animals while we were actually ideally located. We saw the lion rock, Dambulla and did 2 safaris from the hotel (Horulu & Wilpattu). You can also find nice restaurants and shops just outside the resort. Hosts are very helpful to give you advice, price, find tuk tuk at any time etc...Everyone was lovely and our deluxe water cottage was very comfortable.
