Walking distance to transportation, restaurants next door and nearby, great playgrounds, shopping, and best of all the river and mountain scenery. Exceedingly relaxing!! Super comfortable bed and natural white noise. Liked the breakfast buffet and thought the new bathroom was nice, good water pressure. We were put in a low one. So, we asked to move. The first room we were given had no opening window and no air conditioning. We asked to move again, and then ended up, upgraded and in a great room. We arrived in Lillehammer early as we'd caught the night train and we were able to check in. This was much appreciated as we had had very little sleep and the weather was awful. The room was very comfortable and there were tea and coffee available. The bathroom was a good size and had everything you need including lovely toiletries. We visited Lillehammer with our friends and family and stayed there for one night. We asked for our rooms to be closed to each other which Birkebeineren Hotel & Apartments fulfilled. We loved the room. it was cozy and comfortable. The hotel has a lounge which was nice and cozy where you can sit and relax with your family and friends. There are board games for children as well.
