Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier was temporarily closed at the time we stayed, so we were transfered to Te Waonui Forest Retreat. Everything there was really great.

Despite the rainy days upon our arrival in town, the warm welcome from the host made us feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed their homemade breakfast, with the homebaked lemon muffins being a standout.
