The location was great for us, a quick taxi to town (made the boys walk) an amazing steakhouse over the road. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had an amazing deal and kept worrying there would be hidden extras at the checkout as couldn't believe the value for money. We also had no idea about the Christmas light displays hidden away and the amazing lady on reception told us not to miss it. So pleased we didn't.

The rooms are set on 2 floors and are accessed by stairs. All rooms have large windows and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Was a lovely hotel, beautifully decorated in such an excellent location just outside the wall of the old city. It was wonderful to have the breakfast there in the gorgeous little dining room, which had everything we could ask for in a continental breakfast. The young lady we dealt with was very lovely (sorry I did not get your name) and was very helpful to us when we had trouble with our train travel and had to adjust our dates a couple of times. Like most historical places, there are stairs, but this wasn't a problem for us.
