I will never forget my stay at this hotel. For the first time in my life I arrived at a hotel, recommended by a doctor by email to seek an urgent examination at a hospital. After five minutes at Spilman, I walked to the Carmarthen general hospital, arriving there at 16:40 on 12 June. I eventually returned to the hotel by taxi at 02:30 a.m the following morning. My room became a cosy home for the rest of my stay. The weather was disappointing, and my initial plans for sightseeing had to be modified, but because of the atmosphere at the Spilman, I will always retain happy memories of Carmarthen. My chances of returning to Wales are not high, but Spilman would be at the top of my priorities if I did.

It was a very relaxing place to spend our Anniversary very clean room staff were really friendly and the food was good thanks for a lovely stay
Absolutely gorgeous! We loved our stay so much! The hot tub was so lovely and we felt completely secluded! Such a beautiful area to stay in and hosts were very informative, and just all round lovely! Everything we needed was offered, even though everything we needed was in the cabin! Ruth has gone above and beyond to make such people have the most lovely relaxing private getaway! We will definitely be coming back!
This cottage is a slice Of paradise, amazing views, beautiful lodge with luxury bedding, everything you need and more, lovely walks from the cottage Seating areas in every possible location to take in the outstanding views. The hosts Kim & Angus are so welcoming. Will definitely be back. It was so relaxing and peaceful.
This is our 4th stay and what keeps bringing us back is a combination of the beauty of the building, the uniquely decorated rooms and the location which is a 5 mins walk to Mermaids Quay. Beds are comfortable and air con is efficient, meaning a decent night's sleep. Shower is powerful and hot and the jacuzzi bath is a lovely luxury addition.
Visited for our 15th wedding anniversary celebration. Staffwent above and beyond to help us make it memorable. We recieved a room upgrade on arrival, the room was immaculate and roomy, a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was superb and a lovely deep bath. The brasserie staff were incredible, very professional. We had a delicious starter and main, then given a complimentary dessert board with an anniversary message and strawberry belinis.
Novotel is perfect for a family holiday. After visiting the city you can come back and the kids can enjoy the pool while you’re relaxing in the jacuzzi. There’s also a restaurant serving good food and reasonable priced drinks. Friday night the live music was lovely. And the breakfast definitely worth the 12£ extra. We will chose Novotel again.
The property and location was perfect. The hosts John & Kellie were beyond helpful from the moment I booked and helped make it extra special for my boyfriend’s birthday. They went above and beyond and he was so surprised. This place ticks all the boxes, it was peaceful, relaxing, romantic - just perfect!!
Location excellent with just a five minute walk from the city centre and Cardiff Castle. We told them in advance, our stay was to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room to a junior suite. This was a lovely touch, plus we had a card signed by the staff and rose petals on the bed. We spent a lovely couple of hours in the spa, the pool, steam room and the jacuzzi are very relaxing.
Amazing breakfast Wonderful snd conscientious staff Lovely location Beautiful scenery Amazing facilities, spa was incredible My partner and I spent our anniversary weekend there. We didn’t want to leave!! The town was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring Tenby. We also enjoyed using the leisure facilities such as jacuzzi and the spa. We ate some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten at the hotel’s restaurant. We’d love to go back!! We enjoyed ourselves so so much and had such an amazing and romantic time away
