Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town centre. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was an exceptional value for the price. It worked very well for our family of 4. The beds are very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was amazing. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were great. Highly recommend this hotel for families!

Free private parking is available and Lough Enell and Lough Owel, popular fishing destinations, are within 10 minutes’ drive of the hotel. Lovely room with a balcony to the front of the building. Staff were were attentive and friendly. Waling distance to different bars.

Each apartment has 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower. All have a lounge with TV and a dining area. Bright, quiet and beautiful. The townhouse was stunning. The grounds were stunning. The staff was courteous and helpful. My group with my dog were very comfortable and happy. I wish we’d booked for a longer stay. Exceptional.
