The owner gave us good advice as to what to see and where to go, and even when departing and we told him where to we were heading, he recommended a restaurant to us which we visited and were super please with.

Situated in fabulous countryside surroundings, very beautiful and peaceful. Warmly welcomed with a very professional attitude wile having a lovely family feeling on arrival. Grounds and house front are very well kept and clean. Again, a warm and welcome homly feel on entry to property. Accommodation was immaculately clean throughout, comfortable and warm with all facilities available to you being all you could ask for and more than enough. Fantastic grounds and surrounding area to walk and take in surrounding area. Wifi and plenty of parking space. Excellent value for money and an enjoyable stay.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town centre. Rooms are enormous. Quiet, great location, big free parking space upfront. They were ready for a group check-in, all prepared so it took us less than 5 minutes for the whole group. Fantastic food, very affordable dinners.
