Our complex of 8 charming buildings sits right on the banks of the East Rangá River, just a stone's throw from the Icelandic Route 1 (Ring Road) and 2km from Hvolsvöllur. Staff always positiveand helpful. Great Restaurant- very good breakfast. Superb gourmet dinner!!! Hot bath tub with magnificent views. Lobby and bar - Cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

The bright, modern rooms feature wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some include either a terrace or balcony. The surrounding views take in the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes. Very nice and cosy location off the beaten track. Stayed in the larger cabin, good for 3 but could have easily accommodated more people. Nice view to the river and sunset. Nice dinner and breakfast. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Lost a charging cable at a previous location and front desk were able to help. We definitely enjoyed staying and will come again another time !

This hotel is set on a farm within the Golden Circle Region, 15 minutes’ drive from Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs. It offers horse riding during the summer season, traditional cooking and a geothermal outdoor hot tub. The rooms were really nice and we were able to see the northern lights just outside. Perfect!

The Umi hotel far exceeded our expectations and was far superior to the others hotels we stayed in. The hotel is ideally located for viewing the Northern Lights, offering an exceptional setting with minimal light pollution, which enhances the chances of seeing the aurora. After a long day of hiking and touring Iceland’s breathtaking countryside, the hotel provides all the comforts you could ask for. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, designed to make you feel at home while you unwind. The robes provided were soft and cozy combined with the luxury bath products gave us a spa feeling. The staff were friendly, professional, and very attentive. The hotel’s restaurant was fabulous, offering a breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, sure to satisfy every palate. Whether you’re looking for Icelandic specialties or international cuisine, the buffet has something for everyone. Dinner was perfection, with expertly prepared dishes that showcased local ingredients. From fresh seafood to farm-to-table offerings, each meal was a highlight of the stay.

There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Our stay at Heima Holiday Homes was amazing. The homes were so clean and updated with full kitchen and large bathrooms. The hosts were so helpful and assisted us with travel plans during some bad weather to ensure we were safe in our activities and travel to other destinations. The location is very nice with a beautiful view and is a short drive to town for food etc. we would highly recommend staying here and would absolutely go back.

This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. It's a hidden gem. Secret Lagoon comes complimentary with it. It's the most value for money stay in Iceland. The rooms are clean, big, and really great. The kitchen was fantastic, and there was laundry.
