Great place in a perfect location, right in Thamel but far enough from all the busy streets. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is delicious and the rooms and specially the beds are super comfortable. We stayed both times when we were in Kathmandu, definitely recommend!

Yamba Traditional Home is set in the Patan district of Pātan, 5.2 km from Hanuman Dhoka, 5.8 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square and 7.4 km from Pashupatinath. It is situated 400 metres from Patan Durbar Square and provides luggage storage space. The bed and breakfast also offers free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. I went to Patan with my family. The owner Mr. Pradeep is nice and kindhearted man. First time we arrived there, he rode his bicycle to the main road and lead us to his Yamba Traditional Home so we not get lost. The hospitality more than great, no doubt. 10/10. Room really clean and yaa if you want experience the old city of Kathmandu you should stay here, aesthetic and antique one. Mr. Pradeep also help us to book bus ticket to Pokhara, told us the tourism map of Patan, and recommend us some nice places. The food they made was absolutely delicious. We will miss your Nepali's donuts. Thanks for your unforgettable hospitality. Nice to met you and nice to knew you. We will see you again Mr. Pradeep for our next trip in Nepal.

The location was central and it still felt you weren’t in the middle of the city. Nice little getaway. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

For your comfort, you will find bath robes, slippers and free toiletries. We are a family from Canada and stayed at Apsara Boutique Hotel in the King Room with Mountain View. The experience exceeded our expectations in every way! The room was spacious enough for our small family, very clean, and the large windows offered a stunning view of the mountains. The bed was big and super comfortable, and the amenities in the room (hot water, air conditioning, kettle, etc.) worked perfectly. The location is ideal, right in Thamel, but just tucked away enough to be quiet and calm at night. We could walk to shops and restaurants easily. The staff were incredibly friendly and professionals, ready to help with anything we needed for our plans, whether it was arranging airport transport, giving directions, or even entertaining our curious child. We felt very safe and well looked after at Apsara. If you are visiting Kathmandu with your family and want a relaxing and scenic place to stay, I would highly recommend booking the mountain view room here.

Free WiFi access is available in the public areas of the property. The Peacock Guesthouse is a most charming, heritage-rich, and truly special oasis in beautiful Bhaktapur. The staff are welcoming and kind. Their restaurant serves exquisite food. We dined at “home” each evening. We loved observing the colourful life in Dattatreya Square from our window perch. The breakfast is glorious. We savoured every moment of our time in this delightful gem.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s. The Tibetan-style house has 64 cosy bedrooms, an in house restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Wi-Fi is free in its public areas. Quiet spot away from busy streets, breakfast and room facilities. Heater works fine in the winter period and there is always hot water. Price is acceptable for the quality of the stay.

Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu is located in Kathmandu, next to Narayanhiti Palace Museum. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool and spa. Four dining options are available and parking is free. Perfect location. Breakfast was good and decent. Freshly served.

Really beautiful location! Very fancy! Very quiet! Probably one of the best places I stayed during my 2-3months in Nepal. Breakfast is at this gorgeous restaurant next door. If you are there on Saturdays there this really cute farmers market. At night there is a guard out so it feels very secure
