Located in a quiet position on Kerikeri Road, the colonial-style Kerikeri Park Lodge features modern decor and is set on 3.5 acres of lovely park like grounds. Guests enjoy a spacious free parking area and a BBQ area on request. All accommodation features free Wi-Fi and private cooking facilities. Great spot, very quiet and comfy. Each modern guest room includes a private deck area with outdoor furniture, as well as a kitchenette with cooking facilities. All have a seating area with cable TV. Lovely warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Large, clean accommodation with apple and plum trees in the garden and plenty windfall fruits to pick. The pool was clean and not too cold.

Set on the Paihia waterfront in the heart of the Bay of Islands, this motel offers refurbished suites with free Wi-Fi directly opposite Paihia Beach. All suites offer a patio or balcony with sea or garden views. Breakwater Motel is exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was the little things they did that impressed. For example, they provided a coffee plunger with small bag of ground coffee instead of the usual coffee dust you get in hotels/motels.
