However, it must be noted that, unlike hotels, Laurel Villa B&B do not have 24-hour service. All guests must arrive at the B&B before 18:00 and complete the check-in procedures. After obtaining the room card, they can freely enter and exit at any time. Very near the ferry terminal, easy to find and super friendly owner who gave lots of advice during our short stay. Room was spacious and clean, well designed!

Lots of freebies including snacks downstairs. Cooking facilities (microwave), self service laundry and water dispensers (on each floor!). We went for a private room with balcony and it overlooked the lake and sunset which was fab. Nice to be able to get a couple beers from 7-11 and enjoy a sundowner on the balcony! They also have a roof terrace too. The shower was amazing and hot, great pressure. The bed was super comfy AND they have netflix!!! Which is needed in sun moon lake since it’s dead after 6pm, but we enjoyed the chill time. We are glad we stayed for 2 nights (though we did get lucky with the weather), the day we arrived about 11am and left out bags to go off and cycle 30km (rent bikes from Giant) around the lake. Next day we went for a run and did the boat hopping trip around the lake too. I imagine it would be pretty crap in bad weather so ideal to book 2 nights for flexibility. Then if you get a bad weather day you can just chill in the incredible room and binge Netflix all day! Also convenient spot just 2 mins walk from bus station/7-11

But the highlight was the freshly prepared breakfast cooked by the owner, which was the best we had experienced during our 4 week tour of tiawan - it was excellent!
