Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 18 km away from Sun City.

Each luxury chalet has an open plan lounge with a fireplace, a fan and a private balcony. It comes equipped with a minibar and the private bathroom has a bath that overlooks the plains.

Trained and experienced field guides take guests out into the reserve in an open 4x4 vehicle twice a day including morning coffee and muffins and sundowner stops. A small library is available for those who would like to relax with a book. This is an exceptional lodge in an amazing environment. My wife and I had been on safari many years ago in the Masai Mara and yet Pilanesberg while different was just as rewarding. There were two organised safaris each day and each and every one created memories to cherish. I loved the staff, who were so proud of the game reserve and so committed to making sure it was a wonderful experience, always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the chef was just great. I loved our spacious lodge and its little plunge pool. Our safari guide Humbu really helped make the experience special. We are so grateful to him, with his incredible enthusiasm and knowledge, for the way he used his wisdom from 22 years of doing this job to orchestrate the best possible sightings for whatever animals we encountered.

Guests can relax by the main swimming pool or enjoy a meal from the Acacia Terrace Café. The nearby Splash Kingdom Water Park offers entertainment for the family and there is also a children's playground on site. We know already this resort. It´s a beautiful place and resort. Clean, spacious room as well as a beautiful bathroom, comfortable, lots of free outdoor, Excellent also for families with children. Next time we would go again only to this resort.

Featuring a pool surrounded by lush vegetation, the Bakubung Bush Lodge is located in the Pilanesberg National Park. It offers a variety of massages, and has elegantly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Opening out onto a veranda with panoramic garden views, the elegant rooms at the Bakubung come with a flat-screen satellite TV. Private bathrooms come with a separate bath and shower. They have a full board package meaning whatever you paid includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and a morning and evening game drive. Everything for my 5 year old child was free. There's a kiddies play area with swings and trampoline and a kiddies room . Swimming pool . Saturdays they have a boma braai for those who love their pap and meat.

Located on the slopes of a volcano in the heart of Pilanesberg National Park, Kwa Maritane Lodge offers free WiFi and the reserve boasts two tennis courts and two swimming pools of which one features a water slide. I first came to Kwa Maritane in 2015 and have been longing to come back! May I just say that coming back did not disappoint at all! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well maintained (even things like the minigolf which usually ho forgotten). There’s many facilities, from the 2 pools, to the tennis court, mini golf, hide (to watch the animals) and so much more. The staff is so kind and welcoming and the game drives are just the best. The rangers are so knowledgeable and will really do anything in their power to show you the coolest wildlife! Let’s not forget the great buffet, very varied and delicious food. Last but not least, the rooms!! Omgggg we had the most beautiful and spacious room with a balcony. I cannot wait to come back
