Loved the Location, the japanese style room with futons and of course the hot onsen bath. Breakfast was delicious with local food and the service was just great! They answered every question we had, have good recommandations were to go and Even made restaurant reservations for us.

Fantastic Japanese half board menu in authentic Ryokan. We were spoilt with the attentive service and extent of traditional Japanese dishes provided by the hotel. Every meal felt like a feast.

Amazing dinner and breakfast. We had a private room for eating. The room was also very comfortable. We had everything we needed there, including hygiene products and clothes (yukata, socks). There was an indoor and exterior onsen, which were very clean and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and we were offered a ride to Togura Station after our stay. It is a bit expensive but worth it, I would like to return.

Prime location. Right in the middle of the Old district and very close to the historical temple. Friendly and attentive owners. Clean and nice onsen. Easy to get a bus from the train station.

Incredible nice welcome and checkin procedure. Everything is freshly renovated and brand new. Drinks for free and private Onsen is amazing, so beautiful with the outside pool and view to the forest. Room was big and had everything. The owner acconpanied us to a local Izakaya close by and we had an amazing dinner in tyoical japanese atmosphere cloe to hotel. Village is super cozy.

Tamaya Ryokan provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 30 km of Honmachi Machiyakan and 37 km of Matsumoto Station.

The hotel was very thoughtful, recommending nearby attractions and providing the dinner kaiseki menu with Chinese descriptions. They also specially prepared red bean rice and warm blessings for birthday guests. Many thanks to every staff member of the hotel.

Very spacious rooms and a lovely atmosphere. For an additional cost a tour guide will take you to a morning ceremony and tour of the Zenkoji temple. You are met around 6am, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan and we loved it. The staff are incredibly helpful and have super English.
